Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

The mountain probably wasn't the best place for an underfed wolf to be. It was cold; no, it was downright freezing. Tycoon had shivered the entire trek up. So why had he come here then? Good question. One he honestly did not have the answer to. These days he was just bored mostly. Bored and terribly grumpy. Could you really blame him? Ravenshadow had long since vanished -- leaving him to drown in self-pity. Tycoon had always been quite adept at sulking, and nowadays was no exception.

So perhaps the biggest reason he'd come to Ice Mountain was to punish himself. To sit alone in the chill and whine about how his beloved had left him. If he had any sense at all he really wouldn't be surprised. The wolfess hadn't been in love with him at first. She'd loved Frozensoul. Even then, when the brute had left Tycoon had more or less begged her into being with him. In the meanwhile he'd taken up other mates and fathered pups from them. StarChaser had left ages ago, and WSS and tossed him away as well. You'd think the male would take it as a hint... apparently not.

Tycoon huffed and flopped onto the icy ground. A low growl rumbled in his throat, one paw extended to swat at the fluffy snow. The always present ache in his stomach helped dampen his mood. Especially as those hunger noises sent reminders of the pangs. It wasn't fair that he was left alone. Even his children despised him. Well, all except Youkou... and she had disappeared even before her mother. If it weren't for the faint scents he ran across now and again he'd assume they were all dead. Maybe it'd be better that way. Better than knowing they'd abandoned him.
