The sun’s rays danced in my amber stargazers as I let a smile slide onto my light colored kissers. The beauty of the world shocked and jolted me from so many ways. Just the hue of the dirt crusted face of the ground below me was intriguing. My small paws made delicate prints against the earth’s face. A gnat attempted to use my ear as dinner and I flicked my colorful ear to scare it away. My slender frame could be seen weaving its way in and out of the land. Sure I was barely reaching adulthood but my mother said I would be a small fay anyways. No matter, I could still hold my own in a fight. My greatest of successes were my words. When it came to dialogue disputes that was where I trumped all. I am known for my quick responses and witty insults. I wasn’t going anywhere in particular. I was simply up for any adventure. The bright colored trees broke open to reveal a small, slightly stoned pathway. Pausing in my steps, I perk my ears forward curiously. My bright stargazers flick to the left and then to the right. Curiosity gets the best of me and I switch my journey to the pathway. As I pad further and further down the pathway, the trees begin to disperse and pretty soon they are gone completely. Only stone and water remain now. My steps slow as I take in my surroundings. As a small clearing comes into view and I stop completely. How quick the scenery can change. It’s quite marvelous. A brute’s musk floats into my nares and I perk my audits in interest. It had been so long since I had spoken to any others. Sure there was the meeting at Bright Moon but even there I remained quiet. A colorful, large build looks oddly small against a cave’s entrance. I tilt my head, waiting for something to happen, for anything to happen but he just stands there as if waiting for something to happen as well. He looks relaxed yet stiff and I take a sensitive step forward. I stop a few yards behind him and rest my weight on my haunches. Curling my multicolored tail around my white pillars, I watch him, study him momentarily. “Hello, I’m Rylee. Am I interrupting?” My light lyrics break through the eerie silence. Drops of cave water hit the hard ground almost without sound. The wind dances in my medium length fur attempting to reach my pink skin. My amber stargazers become dry and I blink them multiple times. For the longest time I believe I am being ignored but I always was an impatient one. So I waited longer to see what this encounter should bring me.
