At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

I THINK IT'S TIME FOR ME AND YOU TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD
{ Decided to try first person, always done third person, fancied a change :3 Also, apologies for how long it took. }

The sun was high in the sky when I arrived, it's rays burning into my back and making me long for a good, cold bath. Fenrir only knows why I had decided to come up here, to this place they called 'Staircase Falls'. It was such a trek! I felt like i'd been walking for hours and hours. In reality it was only twenty minutes or so, but still, it was a looong twenty minutes. I was hot and hungry, my throat was parched from all this panting, my tongue lolling out my mouth and making me look like some mad fool. I was certainly missing those darn servants, I knew I should have grabbed a few when I left. Couldn't risk them rebelling though, they were always pulling crazy stunts like that.

Talking of crazy stunts, this one finally appeared to be nearing it's end. I could smell that cold, tangy scent that meant water was nearby. Indeed, as I turned my ears forwards I could hear the splash of falling droplets up ahead. I licked my jowls in anticipation, I was so damn thirsty I would have taken a drink from any old puddle, if there had been any hereabouts. You would think there would be with a waterfall nearby, but apparently this place defied logic... This whole forest defied logic actually, the way it was set up, the lack of servants etc. If the prey wasn't so good, I would have been long gone.

A few minutes later and my destination finally appeared. The taste of water was fresh in the air and I almost jumped in, but stopped myself just in time. I couldn't smell or see anyone around but if someone saw me, well, that just wouldn't do. I wasn't some immature pup any more, I had standards, I was a royal prince. But anyhoo, that much was obvious. Right now I was pretty damn thirsty, so I took a quick lope down to the side of the stream and took my fill. And boy was that water delicious! I hadn't had a drink in so long the water tasted like liquid gold.

After finishing drinking that fresh nectar, I backed off for a moment to get my bearings. The area was kind of idyllic, but the best bit was a little dip in the ground nearby. It looked like someone had filled it with grass and fur in the past, but now it would make a lovely place to sleep. I'd taken a long trip up here and I certainly wasn't going to return back down without a good long sleep. Hmph, I was missing those blasted servants, I didn't see why I should have to do all the running and chasing. Why should I have to catch my own food and travel so far for water?

Pacing over, I lowered myself down and stretched out, enjoying the feel to my tired limbs. This place was interesting, this 'Blossom Forest'. Things were so different from back home, so very, very different. I had a mind to take over one of these packs, dispatch their common blood leaders and put some real rules in place. Make sure the wolves of the pack knew their place, shove some down to servant rank, those low class beasts who weren't worth anything. But then, I could do that later, I couldn't be bothered to do anything right now and leading a pack was a lot of work.

For now though, I was content to just lay here and sleep. I was alone but I would be sure to keep one eye open so to speak. Wouldn't want to be caught unaware now would I?
