I still have not heard from the pension office, but my interpretation of the ruling is that the pension board won the appeal. Instead of the losing party(pension board) having to pay the attorney, the litigants (retirees) must pay from the common fund (benefits recieved). So, attorney fees must come from the 2.2 million dollars in the common fund. And, the judge specifically mentioned the opt outs as included. We will have to wait to hear from Parker and his attorney.
