Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

live with no excuses, love with no regrets

Now she waited for her mate to come home - Weylin had given Sulan the pack only to challenge his non-blood uncle for it back in record time. Why he had done so, Selene couldn’t even fathom, nor did she feel she could ask. Her chest ached with the familiar yearning for Weylin, it was something she was almost accustomed to by now, the only time he eased it with his presence was late at night when he would come back to their den and sleep next to her. Usually she stayed silent. There just seemed to be so much distance between them that she never knew what to say and the idea of saying the wrong thing and creating a bigger rift terrified her even though she knew it shouldn’t since she barely knew him. Yet some part of her had hoped for some kind of a fairytale ending in her life – and she had thought it could be him.

Golden ears stand at attention when Weylins voice finally crescendos victoriously in the air. Whether or not things had been perfect she still cared for him and hearing him alive and well caused her to breathe a sigh of relief – and it at least made some of her unease fade – as long as he was alright she would be to for now. Even if she couldn’t help but wonder if things this time around would be any different. Would he finally pay attention to her? Would he finally care? Her muzzle rises to return his call excitement over his return evident in her sweet welcoming lyrics.

Standing from her seat in the sand on the mainland, staring out at the island, she turns and heads in towards him. Unease and uncertainty beginning to fill her as her bodice floats in a graceful lope leading her closer to him - whatever had cause him to not want her company she didn’t know but it tore at her constantly and now she was back to not knowing where she stood – not that she every really had but this would be the second time she wouldn’t know where she stood with him. And even though almost no optimism remained in her some part of it still clung ferociously enough to give her the hope it’d be better this time.

The leggy blonde wolf stops at the edge of the grassy field, paces away from Weylin and the others who beat her to him, she has eyes only for him though. And Selenes turquoise eyes roam over his black body thoroughly. Her golden and black features can’t help but cringe and wrinkle with distress that overtakes her as she takes in the wounds and blood. Silently repeating to herself in her mind that ‘it was okay, he had won and he would heal’ Selene schools her features into a welcoming, calm expression and her golden lips can’t help but turn up into a smile when her gaze meets his white one.

Striding to him her smile growing with her words, even if he is hurt at least he is here, nothing else really mattered right now. “Welcome home Weylin.” Drawing to his side she can’t help the way her eyes drift down onto his wounds. “Do you need anything, is there anything I can do?” Her voice is soft barely a murmur as she keeps herself from leaning into him, half afraid to hurt him and half unsure if he would want her to.
