The walls on the cave looked so smooth, it could've been carved by humans! Thought Darketh. No, it must've been erosion. No humans ever set foot here. Darketh sighed as he silently padded down the cavern, passing stalactites, or where they stalagmites? Why was he still thinking about those two-legged things? They were cruel, mean, rude and stupid and Darketh had come here to be free of them, which he was, but his mind kept saying "HuMaNs hUmAnS HuMaNs!"

The distinct smell of blood was getting stronger now. But another scent also reached his nares. A femme? He flicked his auds and turned them outwards. He couldn't tell much, but he was guessing there was a wolf� somewhere. A tiny clattering noise, almost inaudable, reached his ears. It could've been anything, and a normal wolf would've ignored it, but Darketh was desperately seeking a friend also. He turned his crainium around to see what it was. He kept his flutes flat against his head and his swatter dipped low in case it was an Alfa Female. Maybe Shanti? He thought. When he had joined Spring Grounds, Fallyn had told him about a queen named Shanti. Maybe�? Darketh turned around completely his thorns still flattened against his skull and his tail still drooped. Then an idea came to him. The other reason why Darketh was exploring the place was that he was hoping to find some friends on the way too. He was very friendly person too.

"Hello! I'm Darketh! Hello?" His voice echoed many times. Now he just needed a reply.
