Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

What, was it doing?
Honestly I think it was trying to run, although at its size it may have well been attempting to create and earthquake. I hardly cared as I allowed my violet gaze to follow it, thoroughly enjoying the show from atop my boulder as it finally slowed it’s lumbering down to pause at the lake and take a drink. Maybe I should have just left it alone and honestly- normally I would have. Normally I would have no interest in a big black pack wolf who seemed to be attempting to run for no reason, I would have returned to resting in the sun, I would have left him alone- but we haven’t been left alone. Again and again and again they take what is mine and I have done nothing (for once) to actually insight these Iromar wolves. I have sent no wolves to attack them (yet), I have not invaded their borders or made threats against them, I, we, had done nothing to start this little war whatsoever and quite honestly I wouldn’t even mind so much if there was actually a purpose to having so many of the Diveen wolves captured. So far they had only managed to steal a heavily pregnant female, a child and a healer. Not only are that capturing the weakest members of the pack, wolves who cannot really fight back, but for absolutely no reason, they merely catch them- and let them go. Seems a waste of effort to me, why not catch them for a purpose? Why not actually do something and honestly, why not grow a pair and capture someone who can actually hurt you back? They are the silliest pack I have ever come across and all they have done is unite the rest of us against them. That’s the trick you see, they are after my children and I am sneaky enough to have children in every pack. Thus stealing them, means thieving from other packs and that tends to annoy them and help my cause. Idiot wolves.

Now really, there is only so much idiocy I can take- I’m a reasonable fellow and yet they have pushed entirely to far. I think it’s time I pushed back a little and for that reason alone I stood up, leapt to the floor and strode casually towards the black male who reeked of fog and swamp, violet eyes appraising his form. Big indeed, tall, heavy- but slow, they always are. I circled wide around, coming at him from the side instead of behind, after all, I don’t need to give the big fellow a heart attack- how unfortunate that would be. I moved forward with a few languid paces before taking a seat to the side, violet gaze appraising him before I spoke in easy tones, smirk across my features.

“So, I saw you lumbering before, you were lumbering weren’t you? That wasn’t actually you trying to run was it?”
