Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

these people keep to themselves,

Skittish little thing, huh? Well, that could be good - maybe this one wouldn't get chomped on by a goddamn orca with nerves like that. She'd fast learned to keep such comments to herself and to refrain from pointing out the quirks of others; she doubted the newcomer before her wanted to hear about how obvious her uncertainty was. Besides, wasn't d'Mani supposed to be trying to make friends or something? She'd been in Glorall for half a year and had still yet to get onto friendly terms with half the pack as it was. Apparently the girl could speak and d'Mani's ears perked up, a brow sliding up inquisitively - Leviathan, huh? Hadn't she been the waif of a thing who had eloped, allegedly, with the mammoth, Ravan? Well, so went the rumors at least and damn had their been a lot of rumors since the fall of Weylin. She shrugged her shoulders lightly, sighing as she did so as her expression fell once more into a casual grin.

"Yeah, that would have been her imprint. He's gone missing too - good for them, huh. Alana, hey? Well, I'm d'Mani and sure, you're welcome here."

Seriously, who was going to stop the girl from entering? d'Mani had no issues with it and she doubted anybody else would because, well, they needed numbers especially in the wake of Weylin's death and the disappearances of so many. They needed to be able to hunt and defend their borders even without a King and seeing as the girl had apparently been invited by the late King's own niece, well, Alana was probably good to go. In a fluid movement, d'Mani side stepped and pivoted so that she stood almost along side the female, facing out into the wilds of the pack's territory - it was a silent gesture of permitting entrance, though there was more to it then that. Call it petty or even a long shot but well, d'Mani was going to try and play the nice card again and score herself a friend. Seriously, what was it with her and skittish wolves? Latika was a timid little thing too - hey! Maybe she and Alana would get along.

"Well, want to come in? I can show you around and answer any questions you have. As I said, our King has just recently passed away so we're a bit... unorganized but you're more than welcome to join our ranks."
