The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Though the cavernous room they were now in was not large, Zev’s distance from her seemed overwhelming – he was on the complete opposite side of the room from her, so when he began to swim toward her, it was comforting, though once again she could only see a dim outline of his form due to the darkness. He tried to stay near her, but the water that they were in began to churn. The tight cavern that it was pushing through was acting as a hydraulic, causing the water to whip around at the surface, and the fae worried that it would soon become a dangerous whirlpool. They needed to get out – hopefully the water would raise them high enough so that they could crawl out before that happened. Just then, another sweeping wave pulled the brute away from her, and her auds picked up him coughing as some water crept into his lungs. Though Athene was having better luck keeping her head above water, she was worried. Zev agreed with her plan, but added in another worry. Just make sure you don’t hit your head on anything. The waves will surge over your head and you would be gone.

Athene kicked out with her legs, making sure that she kept away from all of the hard walls. Even though she could not see well in the darkness, this ensured that she could avoid any outjutting rocks. Her honey eyes remained focus on the ceiling that laid somewhere above them seeking out each and every beam of light that would give her a glimpse as to what they would encounter. However, then she had been rubbed against by something alive, something slimy, something unknown. The fae had screamed out, and the brute had managed to calm her. Hold on. Her auds picked up the sound of splashes and for a second, she feared that whatever was in the water had dragged him under. However, not even a few moments later, she heard him inhale sharply and then his words shocked her system. Athene! Find the staircase! There are giant fish everywhere!

Athene was like most other lupines – she enjoyed herself a good fish dinner every once in a while. GIANT fish, however, were a different story. Though she had had no previous experience with them, she didn’t like the sound of them, nor did she enjoy the tone in Zev told her the news. She began to scramble toward the walls this time, the prospect of being eaten or bitten by a giant fish much scarier than the prospect of being hit in the head by the rocks. However, even with her claws outstretch, she couldn’t get a hold on the rock walls. Each moment in the water was draining Athene of her warmth and of her energy. In addition, the water had completely soaked through her coat and the added weight was weighing her down. Just then, the femme noticed that the water had – very slowly – begun to swirl to the right. It was just as she feared – a whirlpool was going to start. The situation was bleak, and Athene, who always held her composure, began to fear the worst.
