Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Fate had hurt her yet again. Everything crumbled around Salem, and it wasn’t even her fault. It was never her fault, it seemed. The creature couldn’t handle things for much longer. She didn’t know what was going on in this strange, crazy place. She’d known all the alphas of Glorall, and that was maybe what hurt the most of all. The ghost didn’t know what she was going to do. She didn’t really have any idea. It was clear that this was her place. It was her place more than it was anyone else’s… she’d never left. She’d been here forever. This was the place that she was meant to be, once and for all.

Salem had watched them all come and go. Sometimes she was a ghost hanging around the edges, and sometimes she was the one vying for the spots in the limelight. It could go this way or that way, but it didn’t matter. It never seemed to matter. They all left. That was what the most maddening thing was—they all left. She was always the one left behind. They had a habit of leaving without her, leaving her feel like she didn’t have a place to be, somewhere to go, somewhere that she really and truly belonged. Maybe she only pretended that she belonged in Glorall. Maybe she was living in a fantasy. It didn’t matter.

It looked like the new alpha had found her… that made sense. That made more sense than simply hanging around in the shadows. At least he made the effort. He was the first one, this strange Tesseract man, was the first one that had sought out her shadow clinging ways. Salem’s pale eyes rest on the man as he appears, just… gazing. Quietly gazing, and the girl nods. The ghost doesn’t trust anyone. It shows a bit on the surface, her distrust of the world shining through to the rest of the world.

He was speaking, asking the rhetorical question that Salem let hang in the air for a long moment. Her thick tail swished, and she nodded. The creature just… nods. It was a nice day for a walk, she supposed. A nod. A simple nod. Another question… and this one requires an answer. “I’ve been here since it was settled. I’ve lived under every alpha that’s ever been here.” and never pulled a rank. The last bit isn’t spoken, but just looking at Salem you can tell how far away she is. She’s tired of being left behind.
