Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I fell in love with a shooting star

He didn't want to go back home. He was almost two years old, almost ready to leave and let his family be happy without him. Starfall may be a little...moody and dramatic, but life was so complicated and confusing for the young boy, that he was simply irritated at the fact that he was so different from them. They got sleep while he never got this...sleep. He was always awake, going from one reality to the next in a warped world of lucid dreams. Everything is real to him in his dreams. Everything.

Today he was awake. He was not in his lucid dream world, nor was he sleep walking as he often did. The dark boy of a very dark charcoal grey was wandering far from Diveen once again. He didn't want to be there after this whole war business. He had no interest in fighting and killing. That was all his father Azrael did. That is all his brother Guardian cared about. Starfall wanted none of it. He wanted freedom. He wanted to explore, and he wanted to not be called a...freak anymore.

With his family distracted by war and such, Starfall found it a great time to get out on his own. He was in a rather good mood today, being free and unhindered by prying eyes. His own opal eyes of a bright light blue, glittered with yellow and pink, were wide as they looked at the great expanse of the open grassy field. This is a place he had never been before, despite being on the edge of his homeland. Even though it is winter, the grasses were still tall where they still stood. Starfall was to be a large boy when he grows completely, and already he was larger than the girl that he spots quite a distance away. He is caught by her initial movements, seeing her move across the fields. He was curious, as many young boys are. Starfall spent much of his time to himself, and with others who apparently do not exist.

Starfall lacked any fear of approaching strangers, a thing that could be very dangerous to a naive boy. His black paws, laced with white speckles around the ankle, move forward in a trot towards the girl. He wanted to know what she was up to, and he was going to find out. As he comes closer, he hears a sudden noise up ahead. His hackles raise instinctively, exposing the russet red undercoat that runs along his spine. His whole body freezes as the cold air chills his nose, body tensing up as he sees the birds fly down and....and attack the girl. He watches from cover, keeping her head even with the grass and trying to not get the bird's attention. Starfall stares, feeling somewhat...connected to the older girl already. Birds hate her too! Although it is probably rude, Starfall was quite glad that birds made fun of someone else other than himself. He, however, was not going to stand for this bird injustice. He had learned you have to fight back.

His handsome star-touched face grows determined as his hackles fall. He raises his head and stands tall. He is Starfall, The Dreamwalker, protector of wolves from birds. At least, that is what he telling himself right now. A little ego booster to get the boy going. He then lets his inky black legs run forward, barking at the birds as the girl then falls and sprawls onto the snow. His paws crunch in snow as a beat to his barks, jumping up in the air at one bird who dare get in his path. He lands a few feet away from the girl, standing tall as he looks up at the birds in the trees, growling protectively as a threat to any more birds who are stupid enough to come near.

His dark tail wags behind him with his last few barks, and a smile is managed on his blackened lips. He then turns his head to the girl, tilting his head slightly as he gets a good look at her form. He snorts as he lowers his haunches into the chilled fluffy snow. It can be quite apparent to the girl now, that this boy holds no noticeable pupils in his divine looking opal blue eyes as they blink a few times at her before softening slightly.

"Birds can be real bastards. They make fun of me all the time. You have to show them who is boss, you know. Don't worry, I deal with them all the time. They won't bother you anymore, RIGHT?" he said, turning his head and yelling at the birds with his last word. He narrows his eyes and wrinkles his nose, staring down the birds that linger in the trees. Birds and their beady, soulless eyes. Starfall hates them. All of them and their friends the trees. After a moment of staring them down, the young boy turns his naturally gorgeous head around back to the girl, although his hair is rather messy and un-kept. He tries to grin again, something he doesn't do too often in his alone time.

"I am Starfall. What is your name?" he says as he keeps his mysterious eyes on her. He wonders what she did to make them mad, and he hopes to find out soon. It isn't often he finds someone else the birds hate. It even makes his tail pat softly in the snow as he awaits her answer with speckled ears pricked in her direction.
