Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

When Mae spoke, the motley soldier’s gaze fell deftly upon her ashen face. It was difficult for him to concentrate upon her tender words; they seemed to only enter his ears and exit instead of remaining and broadening his knowledge. Terrel was captivated upon her face; it seemed to trap him in a separate world. He seemed to drift into a dreamlike state where all his thoughts were of fiction and not reality. But despite the many distractions, he managed to grasp her words – though his eyes still lingered thoughtfully upon her body as the rising sunlight graced her pelt. It was a soft glow of gold that was painted across her, highlighting the beige markings that occurred under her eyes and her muzzle. As she admitted that it had been a lonely time without him, a quiet sigh seeped out from his jaw. He watched as her gaze trailed to the ground, gulping with guilt. His maw parted but he released no words as the whole word seemed to slow. He hadn’t meant to jeopardise their friendship… all he had wanted was some peace and a break from the drama. Oh, Mr Idiotic Terrel had messed up once again…

In haste, he attempted to salvage the conversation, he commented upon the delightful view of the sky that proclaimed the light of the dawn. ‘Woah,’ a small chuckle bounced gleefully from his vocals, his teeth uncovered with a soft pallid gleam. He was certainly glad that she was pleased with the palatable sight. The soft glow upon her pelt added a rather appealing look too. When she turned to him, Terrel exhaled softly. Her smile appeared to withhold a certain glow of its own and seemed it could light up the darkest dwellings. The motley brute was left with a thumping heart as he directed his gaze back to the distance. “Y-yes, it’s quite lovely. I never used to see it either but after leaving, um, Saw Tooth I kind of just began waking up earlier.” He chuckled, and glanced back to her with fond brown eyes.

The gentle jingle of her laughter chimed through his lobes like a melodic tune and he took the brief moment to bask in the sound. At her acceptance, he allowed his face to indulge in a small smile as it was drawn with an expression of hope and gratitude. Though Mae was kind, he could not comprehend how understanding she could be, Terrel had never seen her in a state of anger or anxiety; she was always so… chilled. He nodded, inhaling deeply. “Thank you,” he whispered. The relief in his voice was quite obvious; it lingered upon the two words like a heavy cloud. “It-uh won’t happen again.” He pledged. Softly, he planted a lick behind her ear. “I promise.”

With a swift movement of his body, he rested upon his haunches. “Have you seen Channing lately?” he inquired, his librettos rolling from his tongue with the sprinkling of curiosity. “I want to know how she is but if haven’t then it’s fine. The last time I saw her she didn’t look too happy or well.” When she had said her farewells, she had not looked well at all as if plagued by the tormenting destruction of fatigue as it laced around her body. But Terrel was not required to hand out information of that fact to Mae; she surely would have realised the misfortune and sickness of his mother. But perhaps – at least he hoped – she had become accustomed to the fact surrounding her pups and had begun to feel slightly brighter. It was a difficult thing to go through and Terrel knew that if they had been his own offspring, he would have been heartbroken. He would visit her soon; Moth had stated that he would always be welcomed but for safety reasons, he would remain out of the borders. Or perhaps – like he had done with Mae, call for her. He was uncertain if her venture from the pups would cause her worry; it would surely break her if she was bequeathed with even more pain.

“And what about her pups, are they well? I know I’ve always complained about Channing and Henadin but I would never wish harm to come upon their pups. I don’t feel any love towards them, as heartless as it may sound but in a weird way I treasure their lives. I would be a doting father towards my own but becoming their brother… it seems to be too far-fetched; we are not related in anyway. I do not know of even their names. So a brother would be going way too far.” He mused thoughtfully. “Though I expect they're quite cute anyway.”

'revolutionaries wait
for my head on a silver plate
just a puppet on a lonely string
oh who would ever want to be king?'

readers note;; terrel is an unsual character, disorientated from a broken background. he is gentle and kind, though wary towards brutes above the age of two years. when older he will be less confused and more sure of himself, he will gain confidence and go on to raise a treasured family...
