Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Return to Lunar Children
I'm beginning to feel like a Dungeon Dragon (And Chicky, too!)

soul forever her own | heart captured by none | Hastati for Glorall | no children |

Thank the Gods, he's quiet. The last thing Jagger needed right now was him talking. She was still a bit jumpy, and the closer they got to Glorall the more she wanted to talk to Chicky. She had just talked to her the other day about him, clearly disliking him -still does, a little bit- and now here she was bringing him to the pack.

There was something wrong with her, she was sure of it.

How would Tesseract react? Would he be the same welcoming male she had first met when Chickadee brought her along? Or would he be more territorial and standoffish? Would Tesseract welcome an unknown male simply because he trailed behind his only Hastati? She couldn't be sure, and she also couldn't be sure which she'd rather have; Tesseract denying him entrance, or Tesseract welcoming him into the pack with open arms. Just don't let him become a Hastati as well... That was the last thing she needed, less so than him speaking. While he seemed to be as comfortable as she was in the warrior's role, he kept it under wraps for some odd reason. She pegged him more for a thief, liking to outsmart and out-riddle others. If more bodies were needed, she had no doubt he'd join in the fray, but it wouldn't be his first choice. Maybe he'd try for the top of his sect as she was hers. Maybe he'd try for Diomedes as she was trying for Achilles.

She didn't plan to make her cliff den known to him, not wanting the option of sleeping next to him. That'd be too...intimate. She needed her foxhole to keep her sane, the rock barely accommodating her let alone anyone bigger. She'd keep it, of course, though she'd still offer even though she knew he'd decline. Or maybe she'd sneak off to her den in the cliffs so she could stretch out for once and be away from him.

The journey was mechanical, mind not alighting on a single thought for any significant amount of time. Really she didn't think anything, just thoughts swirling aimlessly in her head as her legs moved machine-like. Step, step, step, breathe. Step, step, step, breathe. Her peace was shattered by his words, once again back to that almost arrogant drawl. She cut her gaze over to him just in time to see the look, quickly looking back in front of her, determined to not let it affect her. So he wanted to know about her pack, huh? Well then, she'd tell him.

"Tesseract and his soul, Caligula, are the Potentate and Baroness. The alphas." She had already fallen into the habit of calling imprints "souls" as many natives did, a fact she chose not to dwell on. Was he her imprint? It wouldn't surprise her, given his actions. You didn't just chase someone over however many lands just because. Not going to think about it, not going to think about it, She turned her mind back to the hierarchy, something she was comfortable in.

"They have three pups, all daughters, Cersei, Maradona, and Octavia, and they have more on the way." She informed him about the royal family before going on to the other ranks. "The Hand is the Potentate's most trusted advisory and can step in for them when absent. The Achilles is the most proficient warrior and acts as an advisory to the alphas. The Hector is the lead diplomat. The Diomedes is the top thief and hunter. The Marius is the head healer. The Cavalry are wolves who're in charge of border patrol, mock battles, and they're also in charge of training. Velites work as spies and informants and generally gather information. They also teach pups occasionally. Principes are the secondary thieves and are sometimes called on to support the Calvary or Velites in educating.

"Triarii are the secondary healers. They also recruit and travel to different packs to learn. Hastati are the more experienced warriors and are the frontline of defense and often are called for border duty. Primus are the jack-of-all-trades. They haven't chosen a specific rank and may be called on by any of the upper factions and participate in all training. Ordines are wolves who're in training to join either the Triarii or Velites. The Populace are wolves without a primary job. The Barracks consists of wolves who've shown in interest in learning a particular, or multiple, fields of interest. The Barracks are higher in the pecking order than the Populace,"
She finished her lecture, starting off with the top tiers of command to the lowest. She wouldn't tell him of her training to become Achilles, nor would she tell him of her current Hastati rank. If he knew anything of her, he'd figure it out on his own. She did, however, tell him Chicky's rank. "My sister, Chickadee, is an Ordine." She said proudly, smiling a little at the thought of the auburn girl. She had a lot to fill her in on.
