Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Sinclair
Then the Strongest Heart Grows Old
Sin’s playful grin fell off his face at that glare. Oh crap. No. Frickin’. Way. He had gotten those eyes from his mom before. But this was even worse. Her glare was truly scary and furthermore, he had a princess angry with him. What would Tesseract do?! Drop him as a student? Panic gripped at Sinclair and he flinched at her furious words. He hadn’t meant any harm. He had done that to Lamar before… but maybe that wasn’t how he could act with other pups? Sin’s white ears turned backwards and he looked at the ground as he took a step away from her and stumbled over quick words, “I- I’m sorry.”

But she was already talking over him. A challenge?! No way! He didn’t want to fight, especially a girl. “No! It- it wasn’t meant-” Sinclair couldn’t get his thoughts into words though because his panic was blocking his ability to speak coherently in the common tongue. However, when she seemed to stand so proudly, all soaking wet, Sinclair couldn’t help but forget his manners and he chuckled a bit. That had looked just… really, hilariously cute. She is going to try and beat me? Sin thought briefly, completely unaffected by her pathetic attempt to look mighty, but he quickly scolded himself and the arrogant thought vanished from his head.

At her smirk, his developing panic paused completely. He was no longer sure if this was her playing or not. But… mimicking an alpha with fancy words meant play pretend, right? Then she came charging at him. She was fast! With more training, Sin could have chosen to side step out of the way for her charge and that would have probably been the smartest thing to do, but Sin stood there still trying to decide whether this was in fun or not. As a result of his hesitation, her paws warped neatly around his shoulders and the force of her impact sent caused him to pivot on his hind paws so that he was facing the opposite way he had been and her weight caused him to drop his head. This unintentional response didn’t land Sin on the dirt, but rather allowed the female pup’s paws to slip over his head and off of him as her momentum carried her further forwards. He remained in a dazed stand for a moment before he quickly backpedaled away from her instinctually.

Had he been an adult, it would have been easy to analyze why Sinclair hadn’t been forced into the dirt. He was heavily muscled over his shoulders and pectoral area, and he was generally extremely well balanced and stable. Naturally, his talents were in strength and endurance, so she, who was lighter and long legged, couldn’t topple him with the tactic she chose. Still, the impact had hurt. He felt slightly winded and as if one of his shoulders were torn. And it was. It was lightly scratched by her claws from her paws sliding over his head and the shallow wound was slowly seeping blood into the silver dusted white fur of his shoulder.

Sin didn’t think anything of it really because he and Lamar had fought before, and they had gotten into a bit worse than that. However, it made Sinclair defensive and anger welled into his chest. Play fighting wasn’t that. Sin had finally come to the conclusion that the russet, white, and black female had been truly angry with him. But what warranted and attack on him?! All he did was get her precious fur a bit wet and try to play with her. Sin stood with his head up and he ears back in contained anger. His tail was lowered and still as he observed what happened to the princess after their impact. He wasn’t sure what he should do! With Lamar, he would have duked it out… but she was the alphas’ daughter. He couldn’t play rough with her.

So, instead he growled at her, “I can get a drink just fine, see?” He trotted over to the water and lapped up the liquid neatly. Now that that was cleared up, Sinclair huffed and spat at her, “Before I just got too close to the water… and I didn’t try and drown you. I just splashed you. I’m not interested in challenging you. So go away and fix your fur or something.” He had only wanted to play with her and she had attacked him. He glared at her with a cool violet and red ringed eye, his ears still flattened backwards (though not pinned against his head). He didn’t understand why she had to go be all “dominant” on him. She already had a higher rank in the pecking order cause she was royal. Did she really have to go and flaunt it?
