Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

It had been a long Winter, though not the longest of her life. The war had come and go, wounds had long since healed over but the scars would forever remain. But when she had been alone and had brought what she thought to be life into the world- only to find the single cub dead and unbreathing- she had withdrawn. Isolation seemed best to her then, and thus she had taken her temporarily leave from Iromar. She would go back, she knew, but for now she needed time to herself. She had spent the snowy season wandering all over Moladion, learning the land and getting to know the place and well being of each packland. Of course, the stealthy and graceful creature she is, she went unnoticed and that suited her just fine. While part of her adored being in the spotlot, another part of her preferred to remain in the shadows- seeing but remaining unseen.

And so when she happened upon a small gathering of wolves on the edge of cool, crisp water, she hung back. She remained within the shadows of the trees, watching with her bright sapphire gaze for anyone or anything of interest. None of the wolves seemed to actually know one another, and as for why they were currently all together, Vera had not the slightest clue. It was common for wolves of kin or those who knew each other to have such gatherings- but when they were all so painfully obviously strangers? That was something new and perplexing to her. And so she was content to remain in the shadows, watching with her intense and curious gaze. If someone were to approach her, well, so be it, but she would not make the first move. No. They would have to come to her if they wished to be worthy of her collection. Yes. They would have to prove themselves quite so.

and full of terrors
