aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Father had been gone for a while now, off running errands and border patrols, and spending time with that new girl. Kohaku, wasn't it? Blayre wasn't too sure, as she never had really gotten the chance to meet her father's "student", and thus new very little about the mysterious girl who smelled weird. But that was okay, because if her father had allowed her into the lands, then she had to have some level of decency. Perhaps they could even be friends one day! That'd be fun. The gray pup grinned at the prospect as she lay lazily on her back in the den that herself, Zig and her adopted father, Kal, inhibited. She really didn't know many wolves in the place she called home, and she was always looking for new people to put up with her antics and give her the attention craved by all those young. This is why, when a low howl broke the still and silent air surrounding her, Blayre had temporarily paused her absent-minded playing, small auds flicked in the direction of the sound. Curiosity was the first sensation that flooded the girl, and she rose hesitantly to her paws, unsure of whether or not her parental figures would approve of what she was planning. Still, it was easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission, and with those words in mind, the minx set off at a trot, in the direction of the unknown call.

Her gait was become more confident as she became more accustomed with the layout of her fathers lands, and this particular expedition was one of the best she had embarked on yet. This time, untrained paws did not trip and stumbled over low-lying foliage and visible roots, instead giving her a clear path with fair ease. Though she was distracted every now and then by the occasional gleam of a gem of a flower, or the sound of some insect buzzing around out of her reach, she managed to make it to the location in time to see trouble begin to brew.

A unhappy whine escaped her throat as she considered all that was happening around her. A dark male with a scent that burned at her nares and filled her instantly with dread pinned a pup that looked possibly around her age with ease to the ground. Uncertainty filled the girl as she watched his face, burning with a strong fire. At the same time, she got the feeling that there was something...wrong, all happening in his head. Though she feared for the other girl who was currently trapped, she couldn't help but feel some small dab of pity for the dark prince, as well as a wish that she could help in some way. Portals then fell upon the girl she had seen briefly around...Kohaku. Yet another one Blayre felt her young heart twist for. The older feya looked so lost, so frozen. Then a timberess she was unfamiliar with, her anger tainting the atmosphere to the point where Blayre could taste it on her delicate tongue, seemingly somehow related to the other pup in the scenario.

Now fully and utterly distressed, the minx turned her stricken gaze to the one she had originally hoped to see. Her father. Yet, upon further inspection, she found no comfort their either. Heavy words, condemning words left his maw as his body remained rigid and battle-ready...no. She did not want this to escalate to the point of bloodshed, for surely then it was a guarntee that there would only be more pain and sorrow for all of them. "Father." The words rang low amidst the angry lyrics and growls escaping the older wolves who currently stood around the border. If he turned to acknowledge her in anyway, she'd meet his eyes, and shake her head slowly. She didn't want to see any wolf get hurt. With that, she'd move closer, positioning herself behind one of his hind legs in a more shy fashion, glancing at every single body here and wishing that they'd heed her silent words.

She may be young, but everyone here was hurting in different ways, and it pained her so.
