Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

The breath of the world was cold and unforgiving as the small ess trotted aimlessly out in the open. The shadows of the trees did nothing to help her when she walked, her pale eyes bright and not giving her the chance to see anything. Her paws glided easily on the surface of the earth, not telling her where they were going as the blow of the wind ruffled up her fur. She lifted her head into the breeze, catching the scent of water not too far away. Rerouting her path to a place that was really there was something she did not do very often. The terra underfoot was new to the ess, and she carefully padded alongside as she did not know where she was going. How could she? The ess was blind.

Her poor life had not even been spared when she began losing her vision as a young teen. She had loved the world so much, treasured it all as she could and lived each moment of her life in a bliss that could not be shaken. One day, her vision started to cloud and dim, and then everything she knew as a wolf turned black and she was left alone to fend for herself. The ess knew what the world looked like; she remembered the colors of a natural day and thrived on the fact that one day, just as fast as it disappeared, her vision would return and she could treasure the heart of the world once more. Despite her hope, each day she fell through the loss of waking up to more darkness. She often fell apart at the thought of never seeing the world she lived in again, and the only thing she sought out for now was a home that she could learn to know and a place that would never betray her again.

The light of the sun warmed her pelt, sending warming chills up her spine and comforting her in a blanket she rarely experienced. Lifting her head once again, she scented the water and carefully placed her paw inside of it, letting the cool moist liquid envelope her in a delight she could not put into words. For a blind wolf, her scent and hearing were very strong, them having to take over as dominant traits as her vision failed her. Her ice blue eyes still woke the terra with each glance, but the ess couldn’t see the way each wolf looked at her. To them, she was strange. Suddenly, a scent came over the area; the scent of a wolf. The vixen knew the wolf was coming even before he ever saw her in the first place. Only when did the ess feel him stop and the tension grew on the back of her neck did she turn around. Her nose pointed in the air as her blind gaze searched the darkness for the being hiding there.

“Don’t be shy. Come over here.” The vixen had not spoke in a really long time, though her vocals kept healthy and strong. She turned her gaze back to the water, waiting for the wolf to make a decision of his own.
