Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Oh such grace! Oh such beauty!
And lipstick, and callous
and fishnets and malice

Harridan had left the den for the first time in what seemed like ages. She wasn't used to this and soon enough, she would move her two little girls again. After the attack on the birthing den, Harridan had immediately moved them forcing Abraxus to be the father she was not sure he desired to be. He had scoffed at the name of Scallywag, but the older the girl got to be, the more the name seemed to fit her. Harridan was pleased enough with the choice. Maud was definitively more like her father than mother, but Harridan loved her just the same. It would seem her legacy would be defined by females. Virago, the older sister that was out in the world somewhere far away from Moladion and these two littermates.

Either way, Abraxus was on twin duty and Harridan trotted through the brush with an enthusiasm of a girl going to her first frat party. Harridan was ready to live it up. Maybe even find herself a nice juicy rabbit to eat. She moved down the stream and couldn't help but to look at wriggling salmon as they struggled upstream. She pauses and pants for a moment before changing the main course from rabbit stew to a salmon filet. She tilted her head just slightly as the red amber eyes watched the forms in the moonlight. Yet, that wasn't the only movement. Eyes now train on the form of another wolf. This was not the wolf that had attacked her and the babes, but the event had made her a little nervous of strange wolves. At least right now, while her munchkins were unable to follow her around. As haphazard as Harridan was, she did manage to be a half-way decent mother to her babes.

She swallows whatever sort of nerves she had and called out to the other wolf. "Wonderful night for fishing, isn't it?" She was attempting to get her swing back but it was never easy. Abraxus was with her babies, and she trusted him. He may be dark, violent and disaster for others, but she knew that he would not harm his own flesh and blood when so tender. She glanced back at the wiggling masses in the creek before seeing one that had managed to get itself in a shallow part of the water. Harridan watched as it gasped with it's little mouth as it struggled to breath air. Silly fish, don't you know that you need water to live? Quick jaws make it a quicker death than suffocation and she moved into the embankment to eat. After setting down the fish, her eyes move to the stranger. Content that the other wolf was not an immediate threat, she tore into it with a vengeance. As she chewed her eyes once more trained on the figure, ever vigilant. Ever the vigilante.
