Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Orion's scars did have stories, indeed. The three across the bridge of his maw were given to him by an angry lynx who was protecting her cubs from his prying eyes. He had been young then, only about 6 months into his life, and far more foolish then he was now. The nasty scars had reminded him day after day that he should think before he acted, and that philosophy had served him well so far. The scar beneath his eye he had gotten from his brother, in fact. He had aimed for his eye, but the sharp canine had missed thankfully. That scar was less of a lesson and more of a painful memory. Orion tended not to dwell on his brother. The angry, spiteful wolf was very different than him and he had cut ties with him long ago.

Instead of focusing on the past Orion wanted to focus on the curious wolf in front of him. As the wolf gave his name, the black pelted brute felt himself able to do the same. His tail gave a few friendly waves. "Taliesin," he repeated the name. It was a nice name, of a different style from most of the names he had heard. Names were quite interesting to him, they could tell a lot about someone. "My name is Orion." He introduced himself without much hesitation, he had never been hesitant in giving his own name, especially when his company gave theirs first.

"And you are right, I am not from around here." Orion said with humor in his voice. Clearly anyone would have picked up on the fact he wasn't from around here, his scent told as much. "I do not remember much of my homelands. I have been travelling since I was but a year old." he said in answer to the brute's inquiry, his yellow eyes still settled on the mahogany brute. Orion watched as his gaze flitted around the forest before eventually coming back to him, he wondered if the other was looking for something, or simply just looking around. Orion found himself intrigued by Taliesin, as he usually was with new folk that he met along his way. Everyone had a story to tell, and Orion was quite interested in all of them.
