Tesseract had given his orders and Sinclair intended on following through… but, spar with Cersei? A princess? Was that allowed? Really it was, because his alpha had set up the spar, but Sin couldn’t exactly get over that he’d be tackling Tesseract’s daughter. He and Cersei had play fought before, but Sin had never really felt the drive to use skillful maneuvers. Furthermore, he was nervous that Cersei might not like him anymore if he won. It was a ridiculous fear, Sinclair told himself, because any friend would understand that in a spar one had to do their best. The whole idea of it seemed kind of traitorous and yet, Sinclair somehow felt excited by it.
He wanted to spend more time with Cersei, and although they spent more time together than any other pups in Glorall, he felt like he wanted her to be with him all the time! He wanted Cersei to train with him or go with him on border patrols. Part of her not doing so was his fault… he could have asked her, but he feared rejection. But now? It was a door being opened for him! Sinclair knew that it would be easier to ask Cersei to train with him since he could ‘back’ himself with that Tesseract approved of it, and was even encouraging it.
Sin sat down on the beach (the arranged spot), feeling squeamish as he waited for the arrival of Cersei and possibly Tesseract, if the alpha was feeling well enough after his fight with Rhoedias to oversee the spar. He was passionately angered that his alpha’s had been wounded, but he was also proud to serve the wolf who honorably faced the challenge. Sinclair also felt that Glorall was made more stable by his leader’s victory, for it was sure to discourage further opposition to him. Sinclair gasped. He hadn’t even asked Cersei how she doing since the battle! It had been her father that’s life was in potential danger, after all. Maybe if they were alone to spar, he’d have courage enough to ask her and try and make up for not coming to see her immediately after he found out about the challenge. |
