Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

The pup seemed surprised at first jumping, then turning to face her. Just after she ask him if he was ok, he came forward almost as if he hadn’t heard her question, until his nose almost touched her chest. Then hopping back, tail wagging excitedly, he called her Leafy and to this she rose an eyebrow; but remained silent as he introduced himself Roamin and few of his nicknames one of which he couldn’t remember. ‘Typical hyperactive puppy,’ she muses, ‘Roam fits him well though.’ deciding to call him by one of the names he had given her.

“Nice to meet you too.” she replied as he bounced, quickly circled her, and then stopped in front of her again.

‘Quick running chipmunk things’ she thought tilting her massive head once again at the pup’s description when he asked her if she had seen where they went. Before she could even open her mouth to respond he started telling how he was going to be a hunter for his pack, asking her if she liked hunting, and that he loved it because he got to chase things.

“I love hunting too, I was one of the best hunters of my age in my old pack.” she responded, and then went on to say, “unfortunately I was able to see where the chipmunks went, but I think I have a better target for your talents.”

“This way,” She said setting a brisk pace towards the thinner part of the forest. “So, how much do you know about rabbits?” she asked, “When we get closer I can tell you the best way to hunt them.”

‘Rabbits being bigger, might give him a better target to focus on, and they are fast which is what he likes.’ She shrugs to herself ‘but he’ll need to learn that he can’t hunt a rabbit like he hunts a moose every animal needs a different technique. If the boy allows me I’d love to teach him.’

Deciding voice her thoughts she asks, “If you want I can help teach you, but you’ll have to keep it a secret.”
