The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

The dankness of the cave seemed to get him irritated. He didn’t really like that he was coming back to this little thing for the whole long while. Big fish were scary, even if they didn’t bite you in the ankle and didn’t threaten to kill the girl you were beginning to love. As the narrow walkway opened to the big cavern, Zev moved his giant paws in the direction of where the giant hole was. But, one thing was still not adding up right to him. Why would Athene want to come back to the cavern? And of all places inside this deep hell hole in the ground, why here in a place where she almost died? Athene held a lot of secrets, Zev was sure of, and loving her was one of the things that would help him understand her. Soon he stopped, and the sound of his voice disappeared. “Lead the way, Zev.” Zev raised a brow, trying to rethink about what the heck he even got down there the first time. From his memory, he could recall that the first jump was the hardest, hence the huge gap he tried to jump through the the fish that caught his leg. His hackles raised, the edges of the tendon around his foot seeming to ache from the memory of the bite. Why was everything disagreeing with his actions? The titan thumped his way downward towards the ground, on the soft tile of the floor. It seemed like it was that way only because of the water that flooded every time it rained. What happened after it snowed?

“Well at least we didn’t fall.” Hellene’s voice reached the pit of his auds. He was going to have to remember that she wasn’t like her sister in her habits of speaking. Zev used to get lucky to get a stanza from her, let alone a full conversation. He remembered when she refused to give her name to him. And with that thought, he smiled. However, the simple action was then cascaded by the overwhelming feelings of his empty heart. Zev would need to be numb for now; pain would break him down and he could not afford for that to happen. “Is that the way, Zev?” He pivoted his head, turning and seeing the outline of the ess’s body walk a little ways to the open clearing. An ache was pulling him in the other direction, but he unnerved it. Now was not the time for him to fall; he couldn’t think of himself right now. Now it was trying to find Athene before she did something that would destroy him. How could a wolf have such a huge effect on him? He had to be smarter.

“Athene? Athene, are you down here?!” The voice of his comrade echoed and bounced off the cavern walls, ringing back into the brute’s ears. His head was hung low, but then he flickered an aud, trying to hear a call that was not going to come. He raised his head, hearing a bellow of a call scream out from the pit of his stomach. “Athene! Athene! ATHENE!” He started to bound forward, unable to contain the stress and panic eating at him. His pace drew faster, storming past Hellene without a second glance. Tears were starting to form in the corners of his orbs, not gaining enough water in order to fall. “Athene? Can you hear me? Athene, please. I don’t know what I did wrong.” He stopped, looking around at the gray around him, the light starting to flicker in waves. The titan could see the end of his muzzle. He stopped, not wanting to look forward. Zev stood there for about fifteen seconds, the end of his jaw open and his brow furrowed in concentration. But as he stared longer, he say nothing. And with that, he turned his head around back to the end of the clearing, working up the slope he journeyed through not a week before. But this time, he was alone.

“Maybe she is far deep into the cavern and can’t hear us?” The vixen’s vocals reached his ears, but he walked right past her, not wasting any time. He wanted out; he wanted out of the darkness and out of these pits of Hell. He didn’t want to take it anymore. “Go Zev. Lead to where you went. We have to try to find her, before she...” The brute heard the words stop in her maw. He didn’t her to finish the sentence before he knew what she was going to say. But yet, nothing stirred in him. The numbness had taken over his mind. Once more. “This is where we went. She isn’t here. We went down there, the direction I ran. But the clearing stops after that; the only thing there is a hole in the ceiling that lets in air. Oh, and water; don’t forget water.” Zev would have laughed at that on a normal day, but it seemed that he was running out of those. “Don’t you have any more clues or something? Is there something I’m missing that you would know?”
