Sinclair trotted through the snow covered trees, returning from the borders towards his den. He’d been up at dawn, and now the day was well underway. He was hoping Cersei would jump him or something. She usually came to “bother” him, and he quite enjoyed being the target of her sneak attacks. But he supposed, it was his turn to seek her out. The thought seemed to cause his gut to twist with anxiety and excitement. He’d been wanting to ask her lately about what she was planning on, like, the mate front. Being almost adults now, he’d finally unstoof the fluttering feeling in his stomach around her. He was under no delusions anymore, but he was fearful also that things would change between them. But he wanted them too at the same time… but not for the worse. He didn’t want to come on too strong or drive her away. She was his best friend. Was he willing to put that on the line? Was it even going on the line?
Thus, his head was spinning in spirals on that front of his life. He’d spent most of his recent border patrols thinking about asking Cersei out on an official date… Now he had to become bold enough to do it! Not to mention, he was a bit fearful of what her father would say. He was Tesseract’s personal student and Sin didn’t want to jeopardize that. Plus, Tesseract had plans for his daughter, Sin was certain; he just hoped that his plans for Cersei didn’t involve controlling who she dated. And with that said, Sinclair deeply respected Tesseract, so… was the proper thing to do was ask him first? To like, see if he could ask Cersei on a date? It wasn’t like they’d do anything differently, though. They hung out just the two of them all the time!
Sin stopped and blew out as he raised his head in an attempt to banish the red princess from his mind. He was guard. No romance from him. Not yet, anyways. He continued with a relatively blank state of mind towards his den on the beach. He blinked surprise when suddenly in his path, was Maradona, the black princess. He dipped his head respectfully and greeted her, “Princess.” His tail waved amiably towards her; perhaps it was a bad habit he’d picked up from Cersei to be a bit casual with the royal family. Admittedly, she’d relaxed his personality towards treating the alphas like supreme rulers. They had become more like… friends he followed loyally with great respect. He hadn’t officially met Cersei’s sisters, and he was happy to have finally become acquainted with one, even if it the interaction was as brief as her nodding to him and passing by. |
