There was a subtle ease in the lady’s stance. She’d come a long way; yet limbs, long and limber, were relaxed and held her bodice with out faltering. The river breeze wound its tendrils through her mane, black locks shivering delicately. A small smile curved her lips; she was very much an outsider in this place but she didn’t worry. She’d come from a place of suitors and admirers, of courteous boys and respectful ladies - a perfect, perfect home. No trace of regret of guilt was to be found littered on her alluring features: the vixen had never been able to help herself. They had loved her, fallen for her, desired her company… but she’d always been a dreamer and well, the tame and ordinary just didn’t hold her caramel eyes. There would have been pain - for the girl just as much as her forsaken homeland - had her parting meant danger for the others. They may have given her confidences and treasured pledges but they had never truly needed her.

Russet and blacked tipped with large ears and a tail of silken white, the wolfess was nothing less than beautiful (though the term was often not sufficient, others believed). She knew it too; not one day of the duchess’ life had been spent in self doubt. She was fortunate that way. Surrounding her presence, many faes had hunched their shoulders and turned away much to the despair of the pretty one. For she did love them, she would have enveloped them within her heart had they not assumed her to grow cocky and distant. Social as anyone, the angel had always had the greatest capacity to love - many had laughed in joyous wonder, pondering how she managed to leave her heart so easily open. Ever had she been a crystal river, spreading her elixir and reaching - without inhibitions - into the unknown. It was her innate and defining way.

It was easy to smile. Sun glimmered down magically onto the undulating current, bathing the vixen in a reflected glow. Her pelt had been growing pleasantly warm, a mix of embers and ash, when a sound raised those wide, butterfly wing ears. His fur still gleamed with freshly shaken water - the girl couldn’t help a sweet smile. His own mask was arranged in a friendly manner and the smile he got in return could have been for an old dear friend.
The water’s nice, isn’t it? Even better in the sun
It was a sing-song voice - the kind that laughs melodies and speaks in whispers to little ones before moonrise, holding dreams like liquid and emotion like light.

The water had been nice. Earlier, the vixen had waded in it herself, washing from her golden robes the stench of coyote and his few specks of blood. It was something, the one thing, she had always hidden. More than a gorgeous fille, the wolfess had the somewhat unfortunate talent of being an avid predator. As far as she was aware, no wolfven soul had ever seen it - it was reserved exclusively for inhibitors such as Mr. Coyote. But that was all.

Turning her gaze away from the river and onto the brujo once more, the vixen’s warm brown eyes melted in the light. I’m Georgie, by the way. Are you from around here?. A rare priviledge granted to the eye pleasing wolf, Georgie was at ease starting conversation. Hard to believe maybe, but she was genuinely happy to meet strangers… make new acquaintances.
