Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It had crossed his mind they day he had finally figured he would just take the kids from Taviora that mayyyybbee, just maybe, it would come to bite him in the ass. Litterally perhaps. He had gone to Taviora nearly every day providing his children and their mother with food and finally after a week of him and both of his children not seeing her he decided to take them so he could watch them. Really what had she been doing? Where had she gone? Did she not know that he had better things to do like basking in the glow of women of the free lands during the summer and winter to be seeing kids all the time? Perhaps he should have just left them in Taviora to let the rest of the pack deal with them but he couldn’t. He just couldn’t! They were his after all and he wanted to see that they were raised and taught properly. Much to probably Zeteri’s dismay.

Amutaq grew tired pretty fast of hunting for them all the time though, it was honestly cutting into other fun times like finding ladies, or sun bathing or wandering around. And oh did they wander slow. He tried the whole wandering the lands with them and it was like herding cats! How the hell she kept them in order was beyond him. So to cut back on his having to hunt for them he started teaching them that fall. They were still pretty small, hell some rabbits still felt as big as them yet somehow they both caught on and did pretty well, for pups at least. So now it wasn’t as bad, it was almost fun teaching them and hunting with them and he had to wonder if they didn’t get their mother’s talent for hunting. She was some lead hunter thing for her pack right? Made sense.

Sadly though ladies didn’t exactly seem to like men with two children clinging to him. He didn’t get a single nibble this winter and absolutely NO female company. A first… but it wasn’t like he was going to drag females home with him with two children there. Yeah that would go well, not that either could really say much on the matter to their mother. Perhaps their ailments were indeed blessings to him? But as much as that it did provide a pretty harsh learning curve for him the first few weeks of having them all to himself. Between Yoska’s deafness so he couldn’t even hear when he called and Tuari trying to tell him what she wanted leading into very long elaborate games 20 questions it was challenging.

Not only that but the dirt! He could not have his children looking so… scruffy. Tuari certainly didn’t act much like a princess getting into anything and everything then struggling when she went for a bath. It was probably lucky she couldn’t scream or else the whole forest would think he was murdering her or something. Speaking of murder…

The male had just been preparing to move out of the den they were in. He had promised them that they would get back to wandering around when spring came and it was probably very fortunate on Zeteri’s part that she had caught them when she had. The booming howl that was etched with rage sent a chill of fear right down to his very core causing him to visibly flinch and thankfully for him it appeared as though his children were… gone! Oh dear lord where did they go! If she found him and they weren’t around what the hell would he do then!? Figuring it would do little good to have her wait he started perhaps a bit more tentatively than his children towards her. She was going to kill him. Yep he was going to die and he probably was best to just roll over and accept it gracefully. Dead in the middle of the wood for simply wishing to take care of his children. Wasn’t that noble? Good even? He didn’t have to do anything for them, not a damn thing yet he always came back despite her crankiness and it was probably good that they didn’t understand. At times he wondered what happened to that playful strong female he had found in the forest and had great times with. Where did she go? Why did this terrifying beast replace her? Oh god if she knew the thoughts running through his head…

His white banner was held low behind him, the rest of his pure black form slipping out not long after his children had greeted her. Thank god they were here to begin with it would have been truly awful if he had come with no kids… He stood silent observing as their children pressed into their mother. He was aware that they had missed her, but this much? No they hadn’t said a word or maybe they had and he just didn’t know. Amutaq felt bit guilty then but still the constant fear at the moment that he was going to die was on his mind. She was going to kill him and he knew it and better off just stay quiet and not ruin the moment.
