aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

As his tongue firstly touched upon her wound, she flinched and spoke. Cody tried to keep a warm sense to calm the spooked teen. He continued the cleaning, only his tongue began to run through gently, slowly, to not scare her. Once she had calmed, his tongue resumed at the normal speed until it was clean and safe. She would probably be sore and weak on that side for a while. That was not a wound any wolf would ever want to have. As his body shifts back, his azure orbs look at her gently. As she leans closer to him, his ears simply move downward, as well as his shoulders in caution and astonishment, but he does not flinch. He had not noticed the blood that had stained his chin, but as soon as she began, he understood what she was doing and slowly, his ears move back into place, and he stands straight again. His face and being is confident, though a sense of quietness is upon him. Confident but gentle. He notices the teen seems a bit embarrassed by the closeness of the two and retreats to dip her head. For a moment his straight face and body freezes.

But that moments comes to an end, and his shoulders relax. His eyes offer a sense of security to the teen, hopefully comforting her into letting her know that it was okay, there was nothing to be embarrassed about. The again, she was a teen. Cody remembers how close encounters first made him feel, so he understood in a way what this teen must be feeling. Still, he offers a small smile visible on his lips to her. Her words break the silence between the two of them. The first thing he hears is her name. Blayre. lovely he thinks to himself. Her next words catch his attention. His eyes widen lightly at the thought. It was true, one could tell he had been before. For a long... long time. He remains silent for a moment, deciding on what to respond to her. He won't lie to her, though he's not sure how to respond to her. Oh yeah, I was the heir to these lands but without knowing of the alpha's death. That didn't seem like a very appropriate response. He didn't leave the land... he left the alpha. Besides, he didn't know his home needed him. If he would have known... he would have stayed. Cody. The long lost king of Aurora. How interesting.

Finally, words come to mind. His eyes look away, scanning the packlands. Keep it simple. "No, definitely not my first time here." he responds simply. He doesn't remember a Blayre from back in his time, so he wasn't sure if this girl was an omega or not. Still, in his pretty head, he decides that answer was fitting. Only Zig and whoever was left must know who Cody truly is an his history here. Revealing it to others could bring uneasiness, making them think Cody abandoned the pack. Cody, of course, would never do that. His body shifts. He wasn't extremely bulky, but was tall and had a good amount of muscle moving beneath his clean white fur. His black leg shifts to a more comfortable position before her words catch his attention. Her next questions kinda spark something in him. Why is he here? That was a question he wasn't entirely sure how to answer. At first he feels as if maybe she wants to be alone, but Cody is not sure. His facial expression changes to be a bit more serious. Not intimidating or sorrowful, just serious. He takes another moment to himself to think of the answer once again.

This time, the words don't come so easy to him. He turns to her as if to answer, but he merely lets a breath go, and his eyes turn gentle again, a very slightly smile forms on his lips again. He stands again, this time walking a little ways in front of her and looking around. There's a silence, as he knows not how to answer. He came back to be home again. With his dear friend Zig, whom he hadn't realized at the time had a love interest in him. Cody didn't feel that way towards her, but he did love Zig, very dearly. Cody hadn't had a real love. No, he hadn't experienced being in love yet. So he had come back for Zig, but not romantically. He came back for her... for the pack. He heard she was the alpha, and her smell had lingered, but so he had not seen her anywhere.

Cody's neck turns lightly, and out of the corner of his eyes he spots the teen's pretty fur. By now, her last question had probably evaporated, forgotten. He couldn't give her a secure, positive answer, so he moved on. His left black leg lifts off the ground slightly as his head turns back to look at the lands. No one is seen so far. With deep breath, he smells how the pack is marked. Yes, Zig is there, but so is another. A male. Definitely Alpha. A bit of shock goes through Cody. Zig had always been so sheltered, quiet. She had found a mate? He couldn't believe it. The feeling was odd that ran through him. Not exactly jealousy, but something. The thoughts of how Zig had once been interested in him pop back into his head, how he never even noticed. He had a crush on someone else at the time. Zig seemed settled. Found love, stayed here; home. Cody had yet to experience love, but at least he was back home. He wasn't very good with females though.. he never got to speak his interest for his last crush. His attention suddenly darts back.

"Do you need any help moving? You shouldn't stay on the borders if you're injured." He speaks. His muscular tall body gently moves toward her, his neck bending nose and face near her to inspect her for any further injuries. He doesn't want her near the borders. Borders aren't exactly safe, specially with Abendrot still actively scouting around. In the past, they had been known to take prisoners. Surely, the still do. Even if she refused to move or dismissed Cody, he knew it wasn't safe. "If you don't move from here, then I won't either." he responds firmly, this time his voice is no longer gentle but stern. His eyes say he's serious. He couldn't leave someone in her state in danger. She was vulnerable. Besides, she was of Aurora Borealis. In addition, Cody felt a need to protect the young female.
