At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

The sun had only just risen when a pale figure could be seen running full tilt through the trees. A figure running as far away from Saw Tooth as he could. Perhaps it was too early to be awake for others for the woods held barely even the chirping of birds. Or perhaps the pounding of the adolescent's paws on the earth drowned them out. He really should be training, working to perfect his talents, but to hell with it all! Rodan was in one of his moods again and the last thing he wanted right now was someone barking orders at him. Being the rebellious teenager he hardly ever was, the only thing he could think to do was to run. Clear his head. Kahn always looked so dissappointed when he was moody and Ro hated seeing it in his eyes. Disapproval made him feel terrible, like he had somehow failed the older brute. His brain simply did not allow it. The brain of a warrior; a king.

He'd all but forgotten that about himself. The memories had been locked into the deepest corners of his mind. He didn't want to remember. It was bad enough Kahn reminded him everyday of his royal birth, he didn't need the rest of his childhood floating in his mind. There was a reason it was blocked. The boy could help feeling the tiniest bit curious though; there were things his uncle wasn't telling him. About himself and about his nephew and Ro intended to find them out. Someday. Certainly not today with his terrible mood.

The brute ran until he could run no more. Until ragged breathes could be heard. Until he was parched and panting. And even then he pushed himself onward until he reached the falls. Then, and only then, did he at last stop, chest heaving. Oh how the white dragon wanted to collapse and lay there for the rest of the day. But no. No, he had to contain himself. Self control as his mentor would have said. Breathing in and out slowly, he calmed himself, slowing his racing heart to a more normal tempo. His salmon appendage lapped at the cool liquid, relief flooding his throat. Now for a rest.

Ivory pillars screamed in pain as the child fought the urge to wince. His muscles were dying for a break, but in a battle they had to be able to hold out for much longer. He shook his head. No. I don't care what Kahn would say. Training or no, he was going to do what he damn well pleased for the time being. And what he pleased was a rest. Just a short one, until his legs were ready to go back.

The tsar plopped down in what would be the shade of a large tree later in the day. For no it was just a canopy to leaves, however, and from this place he could watch the forest come alive with the morning. Who knew, maybe today would be an extraordinary day?

Ooc: wow this is terrible >_<. Sorry, I'm just really bad at starters
