News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Death Makes Angels of Us All
IP: 71.96.195.217

death makes angels of us all and gives us wings
where we had shoulders smooth as ravens claws.

I sit quietly, waiting…content to simply just stay here. I think I have very good patience. I mean when I was a pup I would sit and wait in the den for Mother to come. It always seemed like it was hours and sometimes I wondered if she would really come back. But when Mother came back I acted impassive, just as she wanted, but secretly I was elated. I know Mother wasn’t very loving, but she took care of my basic needs. She gave me milk, taught me how to hunt and protect myself, and every night she’d come and keep me warm and safe. Yet she also taught me how to be independent at such a young age. I guess she knew I would have a hard life even if I was part of a pack. Sometimes I would see one of the Princes’ but they wouldn’t stick around me for long. I guess they knew who my Father was. I don’t blame them for leaving me alone or not wanting to be around me. I mean, they are of royalty to our pack…they have worthy titles, and they cannot have their reputation ruined because of me. I know my place and I will not try to leave it. Besides I can’t break Mother’s promise…I wouldn’t be a good daughter if I did.

My bright violet eyes scan the border looking for any sudden movements, my skull titled slightly to catch hold for any scent coming from the northern winds. It is a lovely and serene place. The backdrop of the mountains are something that seem so extraordinary to me. The snow seems to continue to cover the mountain peaks even during the spring, but I wonder if it can survive the summer too. As I simply marvel at the landscape I sense another’s presence. Puzzled, and a bit nervous, I tear my eyes from the mountain peaks and meet the ice blue of an off-white creature. It is a bit amazing to see a creature so different from me. There is another all white wolfess within our pack and she extended kindness to me and answered some of my questions as to why there are those within our pack that frown upon wolves that are white. Remembering my manners I lower my head slightly with a respectful nod, my eyes looking at the dirt, as my strained voice barely slips out.

“Hello ma’am.”

Mother taught me manners, but she never taught me to lower my head this way. This is something I picked up from Father. When others in our pack approached him he would avert his eyes and show he was no threat. I am hoping this is the same thing that I am showing to her. Just because I wasn’t trespassing the borders didn’t mean she couldn’t attack me. For all I know she could spring upon me and tell her pack that I tried to attack her and then I would surely be killed on the spot. When I think the time has been long enough, I bring back up my head. My violet eyes, speckled with the ice blue of my Fathers, stare straight into her own pristine ice blue eyes. The sun continues to highlight the darken red marks upon my hide, the diamond shaped like mark seemed to brighten though, nestled in the middle of my forehead. I still sit my crimson banner lifts and a small wave is given as it thumps on the ground once. I am still not used to speaking whole lot and so my horse voice comes out softly.

“I wanted to know what a pack is like…mine doesn’t pay attention to me much, so I was hoping to just witness one.”

Well, it is the truth. I do want to know what another pack is like…but I also want to find out more about this one in particular, any good enough information for Andras. Maybe then I can be something, maybe all eyes will be on me. As I stare back at her, one ear folded back to my head, with the other cocked upright, pulling off a kind look my eyes shift to the mountains again. Perhaps if she decides to attack me, simply because my appearance gives off a title I do not have the right to have, I might be able to have a final look at beauty. I look to the mountains off in the distance, a faint smile on my black lips.

“…and to see the mountains…they are very pretty.”
