Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I needed someone, anyone for that matter to care about me. I was so out of sorts lately, unsure of my own shadow at times that I was so confused as to how to deal with this. It was like going through the loss of daddy all over again, except to my knowledge, mom was still more than alive, she just didn’t want to be here, in Moladion. I still don’t know how I felt about that really. I shook my head as I wandered, my mottled colored appearance blended in with the surroundings, at least for a few minutes more before the sun fully rose in the sky that is. I wondered what had happened to the other silent one I had met a few months past, Reich, he had been nice. Although after we had played like young pups it kind of got awkward and we left each others company. I didn’t quite know what I felt about that.

The light shone through the trees and drew me out into the snowy escape, my eyes traveling around the fields as I watched the wolves continue to gather in the area before me. There were lots of wolves there, and I couldn’t help but head closer into the thick of it all, listening to the words that were floating around. Dead, sickness, don’t touch it the words struck fear to the heart of me. I stayed closer to the back of the group, not daring to go to close to where whatever it was that was dead, whatever they were speaking of. I was not going to go anywhere near that thing. No siree
