Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The call finds me walking the edges of the river, watching teh fish and wondering how hard it would be to actually catch one. I've grown since my last try at fishing as a pup. I wasn't fast or agile enough to catch them then but I know where all the shallow pools are now and I want to try my hand at trapping them in one. I'm just about to strike when the howl rolls over the pack lands. My ears prick and I shrug my shoulders. I can always come back to this another day. Today I get to meet my alpha! Despite my age, I'm still excited at the prospect, taking off in a smooth lope toward his call. I wonder what he'll be like. How different will he be than Tesseract?

As I get closer, I can smell other wolves who have already arrived. My tail wags behind me, eager to get to know my new pack mates now that I'm back as an official member of Glorall. I reach the dunes right as a whie wolf speaks, telling someone to go to the ocean and let the salt water heal their wounds. I put this information away for later, figuring it must be important. I glance at the wolf who spoke, bowing my head in greeting to her. She must be a healer. Something about her voice sounds off though like she's not altogether happy to be here. My ears flick back a little at the thought, wishing I knew how to help. I give her a soft smile before my gaze is torn away by the smell of something odd.

Another wolf is approaching but she is dragging something big with her. What is that? I tilt my head in curiosity, noting the way she looks at the male wolf. He must be important to her, family or mate perhaps? I look now at the wolf who must have called since it was a male voice and he is the only male here. He looks powerful and new battle wounds scar his body, mostly his leg. I cringe inwardly at the sight of it. That must hurt. I don't know anything about healing but at least that other wolf told him what to do. I bet she knows what she's doing. I take a seat where I am and wag my tail, bowing my head in greeting to the one who dragged that body in though she doesn't seem to be looking at anyone else right now. None the less, I greet her with a smile before looking at the wolf who called.

"Hello, I'm Tristan. Is this where we get our pack tasks?"

My eyes are alive and bright with curiosity, my tail thumping on the ground in eagerness. I look forward to proving myself to him and the pack. I want to be of use to someone and Glorall is my home. It's where I was born and where I was mostly raised. No place can replace it.
