It is the call that brings him, that high, echoing sound that rung throughout the mountain, bouncing atop one high peak and then the other. It was a marvel really, the way sound managed to move and truly the gleaming golden male found himself almost disappointed when the sound stopped, unable to marvel and its propulsion any longer. How entirely displeasing. Short, muscular frame proceeds to make its way down the side of the mountain all the same and towards the caller whom had so provided his vocal display this morning, the glorious gold and copper male making his way easily down the mountainside he had called home for so many years now, strange black eyes, so soulless in their appearance seeking the form of the equally black male that waited.

The Queen, he knew, was taken with other business, after all- it was his job to know such things, that clever mind forever seeking only further knowledge on any and every topic the world provided him and as such the male had made it a habit to know most of everything that was, in any way, deemed worthy of knowing. It was his hypothesis that this male had arrived either to visit a relative, else to potentially seek a place amongst them, Pan assured the science of past experience is given to indicate a definite chance of higher probability of the later and yet his curiosity to find out readily brings the stocky, muscular golden creature closer to the younger, lighter boy who waits until merely a few strides are given to separate them from one another. His own head and tail remain lifted, after all, he is Second in Command, a position he wholly deserves and one that is given to actually make use of the capabilities of his mind, one others should respect entirely he is sure as those strange black eyes linger upon the boy.

He makes no move to hide his evaluation, Pan never truly grasping the acceptances of social norms and as such was often prone to behaviour most others deemed….unusual at best, if not wholly and openly rude. In truth he hardly means to be as such, the boy is simply direct, straight to the point and often sees little need to mind the emotions of others. After all, how did they intend to better themselves if no one pointed out their clear flaws? This male, at least, was a healthy specimen, slightly off in his conformation but hardly enough to deem him a hindrance nor enough to earn a lecture from the golden Pan in regards to the poor breeding choices others made, a gleaming golden grin flashed in his direction at last.

“Welcome to the Mountain, I am Pan, Hand of the Queen. She cannot answer your call right now, other business absorbs her but perhaps I might be of assistance, did you have an inquiry?”
