PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Dance to a Faerie's Fiddle (Rodrigo & Any)

Traveling with another being beside her was truly a pleasure to Taytim as she led herself and Rodrigo down existing trails, and newfound ones. Even if it was just the companionship presence, it was better than being truly alone with only thoughts. It was true that had she been alone she might have stopped on occasion to speak to sparrows, or squirrels, if only to pass the time. But now, she was able to speak to someone who spoke back whenever she felt the need to comment on what was happening around them. She refused to bore the stallion with ramblings about stuff like the weather, or clouds. Instead, occasionally she mentioned how it was interesting that some horses were better suited in body for living in the hills, or in the forests. For a moment she said she had met horses who had grown up in the deserts and whose bodies were as small, thin, and harsh but still strong in the land they called home.

It had been a harder climb than young Taytim had anticipated. She had not come across mountains in her travels. Or the ones that she had come across she now dismissed as hills. Step by step she had ventured into this new area, already gaining new experiences and figuring out new smells. Many of the horses she could pick up on the wind had been to and around the meadow and falls she had called home for the past months, but here they were in concentration.

In The Peak she stopped and took a breath of the air. It felt different here, different and new. For a moment she enjoyed the feeling of the cool autumn wind along with the peak’s own subtly. She left it wash over her and inhaled it deep into her lungs. Though she had agreed to travel with Rodrigo, they had both agreed that they could part ways at any time. Tiny voices in her head spoke opposingly, one to always continue the adventure awhile another whispered the question could this be a new home?

Taytim glanced around her at Rodrigo and smiled. “It’s lovely here! You can see a lot of the island from here.” She looked back out at the sprawling lands, picking out the areas she had lived in during her time. Even as she looked she pondered what the other islands were like, or what kind of horses she would find in these places.
