Being truly happy seemed sort of like a daydream to him, but that did not stop him from wanting and trying to reach for it. He would still do what he could to achieve it, but he wasn't exactly sure he felt any real hope in getting to feel it. Which made sure that he wouldn't be too disappointed when it never happened, so there was that. But he would still be something, someone, even if he was missing whatever that one valuable thing was that he needed to complete the feeling of happiness. He would reach his goals or die trying, though he sincerly hoped it would not come to his death.

Yet it just went to show how much he was willing to risk to get to where he wanted to be in life. If there wasn't some good change within a year, then he would push harder. But something had to give before the year was up. He had two seasons left to figure things out, and he hoped that he found the right pack to join by then. He had already done so much to gather information that should help him decide, and he just needed to think things over more. The last two choices lingered within his mind, and he knew which one was pressing and pulling at him the most..

Iscariot heard Renai's sigh and his ears flicked forth, hearing her speak in reply to what he'd said of burdens. He gives a nod; he knew what it was like, and at least there was someone else who understood it as well. Iscariot wasn't sure how he felt about knowing someone else with such issues, but at least it gave him someone to talk to. That could be a good thing, sometimes. Then she was speaking again and he smiled slightly at her question. "I haven't made the choice yet, but leaning towards Spirane and Iromar, if anywhere, I think." He answered lightly.
