The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Grey Wind

The brute was pacing back and forth around the borders, going in continuous loops around the all too familiar pack lands. The large grey brute had grown restless and bored, a dangerous thing for any being that resided in the packlands of Abendrot. A growl escaped his throat as his paws tore randomly through the dirt and grass, wanting, needing something to distract him. The brujo was not an unreasonably violent being, but he had been trained from birth to be a soldier and a leader, not a following, quiet lupine, and without tasks to do he often grew bored. Grey Wind knew that Kershov and him would be traveling out to their enemy pack, Bright Moon, soon, but until then he had nothing to do. The brute enjoyed his time with the alpha and always looked forward to proving himself to the fearless leader of Abendrot, but until then it was just a waiting game.

As he mindlessly wandered about the borders his mind wandered. He thought of one of the only friends he had in this pack, Aerten, and how the two had not seen each other in quite some time. He knew that the femme was probably busy, but having no one else in the pack that he really talked to he felt lonely. The titan was not one to whine about his feelings to others, that was not for the wolves that lived in Abendrot, but he had grown up in the presence of many other lupines and it was not hard to grow lonely when he had not talked to anyone in so long.

As the brute grew more bored he was pleasantly surprised to hear the call of Kershov ring through the trees, a loud bark calling the vargs of Abendrot to come to him. Without a moment’s hesitation he turned to the direction that the other brute had called from, wanting to please his alpha and not keep him waiting. When Grey Wind pushed through the trees and entered the place that Ker usually called pack meetings he was surprised to be assaulted by the scent of so many lupines, already many had come to the leader’s call. His yellow orbs easily picked out the leader, ignoring the others for a moment to show his alpha the proper respect that he deserved. His grey form silently padded over to Kershov’s ivory one, noticing that he was joined by a female that he had not met before. The corpse of a fawn lay before him, fitting for the pack they were in, and he looked at it for the slightest moment. He lowered his cranium, nodding respectfully to the leader as he greeted him. ”Kershov. It is good to see you again, as always I am at your service.” His frame then turned to the female, poised up front with Kershov making Grey Wind think that she must be one of importance even though she had yet to be at one of Abendrot’s meetings as of late. Her pelt was unique, ivory and cream colored with scarlet and russet markings. When she introduced herself to the group as Scarlet Nights he knew who she was, Kershov’s mate. But wasn’t she in another pack? Grey Wind was not entirely sure of the dynamic that the two had, and frankly it was none of his business, but he did not trust her as he trust Ker. She had not done anything to grant his respect or trust, but because he trusted his alpha he knew that he would have to accept her, as unsure as he was. Before turning to sit back with the group he nodded his head to her respectfully and spoke briefly. ”Nice to finally meet you Scarlet Nights. I am Grey Wind.”

The brute did not see the one femme he knew well, but he knew he that he should be well acquainted with the pack that he had been a part of for so long, and made sure to say a brief hello to each lupine. Even though Abendrot may not be described as a loving family, it was still his home and the only way for it to truly be a home was for him to know the vargs that resided in it. A clearly injured and scarred female sat by herself and he padded over to her, not yet knowing her name. ”You seem to be in rough shape. My name’s Grey Wind. Nice to meet you.” He did not mean his words to be taken in a negative way, he knew that someone with that many battle scars had to be tough. He recognized Sebastian’s dark, silent form, and walked by him with a quick greeting before approaching the other two that were already present. ”Hello Sebastian. I hope you have been well.” He knew that the other brute was not one for idle chatter and so he decided to sit himself next to Enigma, one who he knew but had not spoken with much.

The femme was cleaning blood off her pelt next to a white and grey teen who he did not know. He sat down next to the female, greeting her first. ”Hello Enigma. How have you been?” He turned to address the other brute, introducing himself. ”Hello, I do not think we have met. My name is Grey Wind.” He did not know that this was one of the pups that an Abendrot female, Verity, had brought back to the pack a while ago. After the brujo took a moment to say hello to the lupines that had gathered he settled in, wrapping his banner around his paws as he turned to Kershov and Scarlet Nights, waiting to see if there was any new that their King may have for the gathered pack.

"Fight back,"He snarled.
