Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He'd been quite the bundle of nerves with the dread and anticipation of what Tristan was going to tell him. It had to be bad, because he could feel the vibe in the air and it didn't feel right. Still, hearing the story did not make him feel any better, but worse. He might not hate Tristan for what had happened, but it did not stop the fact that Solitaire hurt for knowing that it had. That mother was gone, had died like that. He had to wonder who might have wanted to hurt mother, because it made no sense to Solitaire. Mother had been a good wolf, and there was no reason for that kind of violence. Then again, being that Tristan had been attacked first, and he had been so young.. it had to have been some crazed wolf to do so..

Not that it helped to think that way. The loss would be mourned, and Solitaire wasn't sure how to deal with it. Mostly, he could only try to hold himself together and reassure Tristan that there was no hate here for what had happened. And his words weren't spoken of Viora in dislike, but simply knowing that some needed someone to lash out at when they couldn't reach the ones who really should have the hate. Solitaire had seen it before, so he knew the signs. It was a hard spot to be in for Tristan, but it could be what was holding Viora together about the entire situation. Sometimes that was just the way things went. When Tristan spoke again, Solitaire nodded. "I learned that life is harsh at a young age. Putting blame on someone can make things easier, even if it's misplaced. I'm still gonna be here for you." He said quietly.
