The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Myra
2/Soul/Heart/Innocence of Kaius out of Snowshoe/Deaf/Spirane
The mountain was slowly becoming her new home. It still did not compare to the beaches of Glorall, but it was nice and there were plenty of places for her to go and adventures for her to have. On top of that, her sister Cinder had returned and was living with her and Sciathan. And on top of that, Cinder had finally begun to show her what was wrong with her and how to truly fit it. Her mind was quick to learn, to begin to understand and read lips and how to talk back. There was still so much she needed to learn: like more words, how to pronounce them right, how to control her volume. As she grew, she would slowly learn, and as an adult, she may even master her disability completely. Cinder was a good teacher, not the nicest teacher, for often she snapped at her slightly smaller sister for messing up. Yet her unethical tactics were working.

Silver eyes cracked in blue peer out of the shadows as she watches the dark form of her sister slipping from the mountain top. Curiosity ate her alive inside, and so she began to follow Cinder like a shadow, keeping a good enough distance to avoid being heard, since she can not hear herself; a skill she had learned in her many hunting attempts. They walk from the peaks, Cinder in her almost permanent fowl mood. She watches as the black and brown girl catches a pheasant, but doesn't eat it. It confused Myra as to why her sister was always so angry and liked to take her anger out on others, like herself. But then something caught her attention, and she stopped in her tracks behind her sister, watching with keen attention as black ears flicked: hearing something that she did not.

When her sister walks into some caves, she quickly hurries up to her, seeing the wolves who have all gathered inside. Some seemed angry and it made her uncomfortable so she came up beside her sister and pushed into her for a sense of security, for Cinder to be her ears. "Cinder?" she says, and thankfully for her on this day her voice comes out too quiet, so that attention does not drift to her from wolves like the grey male that looked like he was about to eat the little girl. Silver eyes watch the wolves, flashing back and forth to make sure no one tries to sneak up on them and then back to her sister to watch her lips. It was hard because of the shadows but she could see them well enough to be able to piece together what some of the other wolves were saying and what her sister would say to her.
