Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

REACH FOR THE DEAD Raven

The den is a quiet place. It is a place where he can nestle into his mother and drink the sweet elixir of life. Hunger drives him to greedily drink from his mother's belly, and as time went on, he did continue to grow. But life was not all about forcing the hunger to fade. Once it was gone, time was not to be spent dawdling in the darkness of the den, at least, not too long. He did tend to let the milk settle, and he licked his lips as he did so. After a moment though, he knew his mother was sleeping due to the way her chest rose and fell. He stared at her for a moment with his bright red eyes that faded to a magnificent gold, flecked with the bright green of his heritage. Once he determined he was not going to be dragged back immediately to the den, he made his move. Black paws brought the soft white pup towards the mouth, and the light of late day did begin to play on his fur.

As he peeks out, he sees the colors fading blue and sunlight making their way through the leaves of the woodland canopy. They cast light and shadow upon the ground, and he does cast his gaze downward to watch the dancing upon the ground. He seems mesmerized by them, taken by the sight of it. Slowly he reached a blacked paw out, placing it upon a shadow as if trying to catch it, and yet it only darkened his paw further. He was not angered by this fact, and in fact showed little emotion towards it. It was a simple curiosity, and the result was simple fact.

He looked back up again at the expansive world of the woodland. He wondered where the girl of black and red was. She was a source of comfort in her own right, just as the black shadow that would linger at the mouth of the den and from the shadows of the woodland. He moved, lifting his small form upwards and taking a few more steps until he is completely out of the den. He decides to attempt to track her. He did not wait on his brother to join him, but would not oppose if the darkened boy was by his side.

His nose sniffs the dirt, inhaling to identify the scents around him. He moves slowly forward, and attempts to follow the strongest point of the sent. His blackened tail wags behind him as he appears to have caught onto the scent. He seems almost happy to have found it, a bounce to his step gained as he makes his way towards where he thinks the scent went- although if he is accurate or not, is all up the result. He blinks with his red eyes rolling around the area, watching for any sudden movements. He knows not to wander too far from the den as mother will come get him, but he wishes to find the girl. So he continues on, paw after paw cutting through the smaller grasses with ease and fighting through the taller bits. He knew she was close- she just had to be, and his bright blood eyes awaited for her to come into view.
