aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

She felt his gentle rumbling chest vibrate against her bodice, setting her nerves on fire. It was a strong yet gentle thunder and the audible laughter made her lips rise up into a wider and happier smile. “Of course that is fine, Sebring, although we will need to be rather creative with its placement. My own is not dug, but rather made by fir tree walls. It is well hidden on one of the highest points in the terra and surrounded by cliffs ravines and streams for added protection. Shall we go have look to see what we can find?”She felt him pull away slightly to start the journey but she couldn’t stand the thought of him walking away and pushed closer to him yet again. He paused again and looked deep into her lanterns, and answered her silently with a nod of his crown and smile. Sebring let herself relax again but still allowed herself to press against her mottled knight.

“Whatever you like, Sebring. But there is no need to rush anything, this is your home now. We have all the time in the world—the pack isn’t going anywhere and changing anytime soon. Why don’t we just get you settled in first and then you can rest some more.” The ashen girl nodded her head and let a small smile spread across her lips. He stepped closer to her and pressed his nares into her nape, his breath hot against her skin. Her skin tingling and prickling from his touch. She was more sensitive under his touch, but she loved it. She loved the way she felt around him, their fur intermingling. “You had quite the ordeal earlier – digging out a den will tire you out again. Let’s go find a good place for your den and get that started. If we don’t finish before you tire out, you can sleep in my own until we do finish it. And let me know if you get hungry – it is important to stay well fed when you are back in good form.” He nuzzled her gently before taking small steps away from her. And Sebring felt the cold starting to invade the air between them. She padded forward trying to stay close and keep the cold away.

He nodded in the direction of their journey, “So to narrow the search, you are going to have to tell me if you have any preferences. You could have it in the ravine by the river, but it would likely flood if we ever got a bad storm. We could find a cave on the Cliffside that already exists – it would be private and obviously well protected, but it may be colder in the winter months because of the rock walls. We could dig one from a hill, or find another grove of trees – like mine. There are a lot of options… do you want me to just show you the options and you can choose what you like?” He paused seeming to sense her utter confusion and surprise at how many places there were. Sebring’s portals widen in amazement, how could one area contain so much? She nodded slightly trying to consume the information, “I’m sorry I’m rambling, my dear—” She didn’t hear much after my dear, her whole thoughts consumed by the idea that he had called something other than Sebring. Let alone my dear! Sebring wanted to make herself understand what he meant, but she didn’t want to read into it. Maybe he called every femme that… but every fiber of Sebring hoped that wasn’t true.

Sebring pulled herself back to reality, feeling Kalgalath’s gaze on her form. She looked up to his icy pools seeing that he wasn’t searching for her eyes, he was looking at her. Studying her. “Am I going too fast for you? I just want to make sure you can rest sooner rather than later.” Sebring felt the heat in her cheeks meaning under her lighter ashen fur she was turning a distinct crimson color. “No, Kalgalath darling.” She whispered gently, her voice almost tantalizing. Her bodice stayed next to his, shoulder to shoulder. Sebring gently pressed her nares into his neck and traced up to his audit, “A grove sounds like a wonderful idea and I wouldn’t dream of having anyone else here to help me, Kalgalath.” She nuzzled him before removing her face from his fur. Sebring let herself lean on Kal, “I’m ready whenever you are.” She searched for his icy blues, a small smile spreading across her face.

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
