Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Luk
(Two) (No Imprint) (No Mate) (Glorall)

The smell of salt was the hardest thing to get used to. It was everywhere! Even the trees smelled like the tang of salt! Luk was even sure that he smelled of salt now. It had been a few weeks since he had become a member of the Glorall pack and he was finally getting used to how different this place was from his old forest home of Taviora. Even the wolves were different. But that was fine. He could be different too. The large, awkward wolf pup walked along the shore line watching the bright orange sun sink below the waves. It really was a beautiful sight and he couldn’t but smile at it. No! This isn’t how he was supposed to be! ”You have to be more brooding! Stop with the pretty sight seeing!” he said to himself.

Turning his back on the sunset, Luk forced his expression to change. He thought of the way Eden often looked and tried to mimic that. The smiled faded and became a hard line. His bi-colored lowered into a scowl that couldn’t even frighten a bunny. But he tried. To someone looking from a distance, it was a bit of a comical show. As with many wolves his age, the child of Zeteri and Amutaq was trying to find his place in the world. The path he was currently walking was that of shadow and death, just like the stories of old. He wanted to be an assassin like his grandfather before him. Of course now he was trying to find out how to act like one. It was hard.

The normally bright child had to force himself to sulk and brood. Often he found himself trying to think about his lost mother, hoping that that would bring out his inner assassin but all this did was make him sad and he would end up crying alone in the dark. Surely there was something more he could do to help himself find his way. There was a sudden scuttling sound coming from beneath his paws and Luk gazed down at the red creature. What on earth was that? He bent to sniff it and realized quiet suddenly that there were some animals that were better left alone. A shrill yelped erupted into the dusk air as the crab clamped down on the wolf’s lip. Luk tried his best to get the monster to let go but no matter how hard he shook or how much he through it on the soft sand it would not let him go. He whimpered painfully, both hoping no one saw this and that someone would come save him.
