Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Fritjof watched the young wolf bounding in the field, green flecked gold eyes trained on her as if on prey, curiosity springing in his mind. The fairer weather made a lovely time for venturing forth and meeting others, unlike the winter in which he had originally come across this land. He was secure in that he had a place to return to, and pleased to find like minded individuals with which to talk and plot. Then a male came along. He seemed very thoughtful, as if here on a purpose, instead of just enjoying the day. He tilted his head and watched. What could he be up to?

His own plain coat, with his dark tipped ears and long black guard hairs over a cream and grey base, did not make him easily distinguishable from any other wolf. His size however was a give away. Only 52 lbs, and 26 inches he could not compare to the size of most others. The female was not that much larger than him, but the male was easily three times his size. If he was a coward he would have left without saying anything, so far from the protection of a pack. Not that he had met any so unfriendly as to maul him without reason yet. He walks out from the bushes, staring after the young female, walking towards the male, who seemed more likely to enjoy a bit of conversation than the prancing she-wolf.

"Hello on this fine day." He really did need to get around to meeting people, being a Quill, and an ambitious one. "Looks like someone is happy spring has arrived" he adds in polite conversation, indicating the reddish female "as am I." Not that it was an important statement. But polite usually meant starting within common ground, and most people would be glad the winter was over. Easier hunting, warmer weather, puppies, what was not to love?

He continues to watch with interest as the female seemed to play by herself, either unaware or not caring that she had gathered an audience.
