Nakato
nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky |
With her belly full and the sun gleaming down on her Nakato had found herself dozing peacefully. Her eyes were closed but she was still aware of things going on around her. It was nice to listen to the songs of the earth, which is what she did now. A gentle wind blew softly through the plains, singing tales of the coming spring. A pair of birds flew overhead calling out a joyous chorus to each other. Even the snow that still clung to the earth, not wanting to give up its claim so easily, gave a soft hum. However, that hum changed to a sharp and sudden crunch that caused the druid to open her electric blue eyes. A young pup stood before her with sharp eyes. He smirked and introduced himself. Nakato was still getting used to the strange rank names but she did remember that Orthos was the fighter position. She smiled pleasantly and sat up on her haunches. In a moment, she was able to determine that the pup was bound to be a strong warrior one day. Though he was small now, he would grow into a large body that would fit his already massive paws. He would grow bigger than her be several inches and would be a heavy weight. The warrior’s life would be perfect for him. ”Hello, Cuirass. I am called Nakato and future... um… Frankenstein of Asteraia. “ She tried to give a wag of her bobbed tail but could only manage a slight butt wiggle. Standing before the young male, Nakato was able to clearly see his confidence. Not just in the way he spoke or the way he sat with his chest puffed slightly, but by the color of his aura. It was a talent she had had ever since she was a pup. Some wolves had a stronger aura than others and it didn’t take long for her to see the color on those wolves. This pup was practically radiating a bright orange-red hue. It reminded the gray girl of fire, passion, and a burning determination. It was a good color for a warrior and she found herself smiling even more at him, almost like a prideful mother would. ”What brings you here today, Cuirass? I apologize, I did not save any of the meat off this poor bird for I did not know I would be sharing your company. But if you would like, I would be happy to help you hunt something if you are hungry.” |
