The forest truly had to be one of wandering girl’s favorite places to be! There was always something to chase, be it the fairies of her imagination or the shadows and light of the sun through the tree branches. Spring had given way to summer and the sun was bright and hot ahead. The wind blew just enough to create movement of shadows, but not enough to blow away the heat and refresh the world.
Taika didn’t mind though! Her tongue rolling out of her mouth, she raced through the trees with the wild abandon that was such a core of her personality. She bounded from one patch of sun to the other, chasing her own shadow and giving the imaginary friends she carried with her one of the rides of their lives. Diving and bouncing, she created puffs of dirt in the dry air with every time her paws met the earth. Always able to entertain herself, her laughter and giggles bubbled from her throat and through her agape jaws. Through her laughter she heard another creature jumping around through the brush of the forest. A bird took flight and for a moment Taika’s chocolate eyes followed it. Ears quirked when another wolf goes running passed.
Excitement exploded in Taika’s body when it appeared that the other canine ran and played with just as much innocent frivolity as she did! Tail high and wagging in eager play the russet girl bounded after the white, laughter and grins making it more than obvious she was no threat. She mimicked the other’s movements before leaping into the air and landing in an expert and all-too-natural play bow.
“Hello!” She greeted, rump and tail high and swaying in the air. “I’m Taika! Want to play?”
