Victorious. The Monster had proven to all that she was indeed quite capable of being the leader Asteraia needed, nay, deserved. It would seem that Fate wanted to make a replay, because tonight as she limped proudly back into her home, it was only a year ago during a dark summer stormy night, did she come to announce herself as the new Alpha. She did not come to the weak pack as a new Queen. No. Tick Tock would never be anything like the green-eyed woman. A year ago she had defeated whom she thought was Jaidah’s mate, and now, she had defeated Jaidah herself. Perhaps Jaidah would come to understand that if her mate could not defeat the Monster, if she could not defeat the Demon King or the Monster, then perhaps...she shouldn’t continue her pitiful attempts. Asteraia was in good paws, and they would continue to be so, because Tick Tock was doing everything right and succeeding where Jaidah had failed. When she had come to Asteraia along its borders before she took the fields, she had noticed how inattentive the faux leaders were, and since it was the weakest pack in all of Moladion – she decided to follow what Fate told her to do – and she obliterated the weakness. Asteraia had wary eyes upon them, Asteraia was constantly whispered about, and the wolves that called Asteraia home were getting stronger and stronger. Tick Tock was an Alpha, not a Queen, and she would do everything she possibly could to continue to make her pack, no, her family smarter, better, faster, and stronger.
Leaving the failed ex-Queen along the edges of her territory the Monster continued forward in the direction of her lair. She was not one to break promises. After Tobias defeated Jaidah she voiced aloud the promise that they would defend the wolves that called Asteraia home, and now that she defeated Jaidah, it was ultimately clear that the Monster keeps her promises. The former ex-Queen’s mate was defeated a year ago, eerily similar to a night like this, and Tick Tock could not help, but allow a smirk to appear upon her bloodstained lips. The very idea that Tobias had defeated Jaidah, and she had defeated Jaidah, as she was assured she would before the fight even began, Tick Tock couldn’t help, but lift her dial high, for the moment ignoring the pain she felt in her scruff. Even though her back right leg was lighting up on fire she continued to press on, not daring to make herself look weak, as she kept it hitched up. She knew during her fight she had put more pressure than she should have, but she needed to mobilize in order to attach the white woman. Though she would suffer any amount of pain for her family. Breathing deeply she inhaled the scents of the rain and the mixture of the different wolves that called this home, their scents only getting stronger as she continued to press on. The tether between herself and Tobias seemed to tighten as she made each step closer towards his direction, her soul pleased to be closer to him. For a moment the Monster grows still as she feels the heavy rain begin to lighten up, the cold water pounding upon her cold and ebony form in a gentle fashion.
As she parted her jaws, she let out an eerily, but powerful howl, that alerted her family that she had come victorious. They would not bow to the failed ex-Queen. At the same time she called for her family golden rods of lightning flashed as the sodden ground trembled from the heavy roar of thunder, almost as if Fate was shouting its approval. Tick Tock had come such a long, long way to finally find where she belonged. Always she knew she was cursed to be a Monster due to mark in the middle of her forehead, she had been ostracized by her very own, and never accepted to join a pack. Always she felt as if something was missing inside of her, but she could not name it, and so she chose to ignore it. Until now. Now she knew what she was meant to be. A Monster, yes, but she was born and led to become a great leader, and she only hoped that the wolves that chose to follow her, would see her as such. Silently she stood waiting to see if her family would come to see her. She wanted to see her children come to her, she wanted to see her beloved imprint and his perfect mate, she wanted to see her perfect student, Cuirass, the eager to please and serve and always loyal Galileo, the approval from Eric, Valefor, Anima and Starshade, and the joy in Nakato’s eye. It was true it would take time for her to heal, but she could already feel her wounds fade away, as the forefront of her mind focused on the family she had fought for.
