Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice

After he had filleted the fish, separating flesh from scale, she had thanked him before delicately ingesting the meal. The pair dined quietly and disposed of their scraps over the edge of the mountain, the skin slowly floating down like a leaf on the breeze, the gusts of wind flipping it one way and then another. After a few moments, Kalgalath had leaned into the ess, nuzzling her and then had spoken to her, asking how she wanted to spend the day, and the fae had agreed to his suggestion, her limbs folding beneath her bodice til she was laying aside him. The silence was broken by a gentle laugh and Kalgalath rotated his nape until he was peering at her. Slowly, she reached out, her tongue escaping and running along his maw, cleaning up a few stray scales that he had missed when he had skinned the trout. When she was apparently contented with his cleanliness, Sebring kissed him a last time before responding, her maw moving from his kissers to his auds, voice soft and faint. As long as I am by your side, I will be happier than the larks singing in the trees. I don’t ever want to leave your side again Kalgalath. Kalgalath smiled at her, her words reflecting what he felt exactly. It was odd, perhaps, that though they had not seen each other in such a long amount of time, they were closer than ever. Distance truly did make the heart grow fonder, apparently.

A pleasant silence settled over the pair, and Kalgalath allowed his lids to shut, enhancing his hearing and other senses. It was so relaxing and relieving that they did not have to fill every moment with chatter, but were instead were comfortable enough with each other, even with the months that they had spent apart, to be silent. The sound of scraping made the mottled brute raise a single shade and he watched the ess move right to the edge of the cliff, her cranium dipping below the lip as she peered down at the world below. After a few moments, the wind brought her vocals to his audettes. Kalgalath, does sitting atop the cliffs remind you of your spot on the rock where you hold meetings? Her nape swung to bring her gaze upon Kalgalath's own, grinning at him. The brute tilted his head, a crooked smile crossing his kissers. "Not really, Sebring. Up here the world looks so little and small, time passing by slowly, if you peer long enough it makes you feel like a God. The other vargs look like insignificant ants from here and it gives you a sense of inconceivable power. But to me, being upon my throne in front of my pack is something completely different. Yes, I sit above them, but I am still among them and I am still one of them. My raised seat merely allows me to see more and allows all to see me, not just the vargs closest to me. Being their leader is an honor, indeed, and it comes with power and respect, but it is also a position of responsibility and servitude. Without my pack, there would be no need for the position. Just as they need me, I need them."

It had taken the brute a long time ruling as King to figure this all out. At first the position had taken him over, making him strong even when he was weak, causing him to be hard when normally he would be softer. Kalgalath finally felt comfortable in the role now, though, and though he was still hard when strangers were around, all within his pack who had gained his trust knew that the brute was really just a big softy. He was protective of his pack, yes, but he also enjoyed their company.

His arctics swirled to meet her gaze once again and he smiled at her. "So what have you been doing for all of this time? Have you met anyone else within the pack?"
