Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

visenya

She had no clue on where the other had unintentionally been leading her and yet, she was not bothered by such a trivial thing - the unknown. Who cared about the unknown? What mattered was that it had been fun to follow the other's steps silently as they descended the mountainside; she had done her best to remain concealed as she moved from rock to rock, crouched and low as she shot across the fields at the mountain's base. She had no intention of being caught and thankfully, she had become all too accustomed to the intricate slopes and outcrops of her mountain home. Having been born to the queen had that affect, after all. She had to keep up and yet, keeping up wasn't quite her style. She preferred to surpass.

Of course, she had heard about her sister's encounter with the strangers. It had been big news, after all, and it had shaken the mountain's youths at the time. So, it had to be expected that she felt nervous as she passed the borders and yet, she had merely felt exhilarated at the prospect. The allure of danger seemed all too enticing despite her family's warning - she had grown accustomed to the belief that she was far too smart, swift and strong to ever be taken off guard. It seemed like a test to move out into the free lands just as the other girl had done.

As the pair - unknowingly - passed into the free lands, Visenya had quickly taken off towards her, now unrestrained by her desire to be so sneaky. They had freed themselves from the perilous gaze of the adults, after all!

She moved with long, bounding strides towards the other girl. When she was a few yards away, she let out a short chortle of shrill cries, a playful choir as she charged forward and leaped. She did not intend to knock into the girl, though, and rather, she landed in front of her, skidding in the frost and falling immediately into a play bow. "Gotcha'!" she yipped as she wriggled excitedly, her mouth pulled up into a toothy grin.
