Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

As soon as the two kalak brutes decided not to kill each other, and Horizon and Akuji recognized each other, the opposing brute laughed, his vocals rough and grating. It wasn't to say that Akuji trusted Horizon yet. True, they had been friends when they were younger, but there were years of pain and abuse and separation between them in which they had not only grown apart, but become completely different wolves. Akuji had no idea what Horizon had been through in the past few years, so who was to say that he was not lying about who he was now? Truthfully, Akuji had never thought that he would see another kalak again after he was exiled. His first surprise had been when he had come upon not only another kalak, but upon a pack run by one and almost completely filled with them. More than that, they were distantly related, cousins a few times removed or something of the sort. But then again, all kalaks were related in some twisted way due to their inbreeding, which none of them thought was strange themselves but many of the other breeds judged them for it.

'I never expected to find one of you ever again… After he exiled you and your siblings I was put to death by combat… Seeing as I was no longer any use to him. I had no one to serve and watch with you gone and so my mother sought out ways to get me away. Her means of finding my escape I will never truly know but from what I had heard she had found someone who knew of a way out. ' Akuji tilted his head, wondering what lies his father had told Horizon to get him to try to comply with the rules of the clan. "I was the only one exiled. I'm not sure if the true words of what I did would have reached your auds... But I murdered one of the royals. One of my betrothed, for after we had been mated, I found her with another. I killed both of them. In truth they would have been put to death if put to court, but because I killed them of my own design... And because father had not ordered it, I was considered a criminal. My siblings were not exiled, and my sister is, to my knowledge still considered Farant's right hand. " But Horizon's history was just as much news to Akuji - never did he think that Farant would kill those in his army just for sport. He valued his army and their loyalty... But it did not entirely surprise him. Farant was a monster - nothing he did would surprise Akuji.

'My mother took me to the edge of the packlands and told me to follow stale scent trails. I wandered for days after that until I stumbled into Blossom Forest, I never found where I came through and I never intend to…' The dual colored gaze caught Akuji's muds and the two stared at each other in silence for a few minutes before Horizon finally settled back down, sitting upon the earth and curling his plume around his pads, and Akuji mimicked him, his spines falling. 'Have all of you been exiled here..? My memory fails me when I try to recall our younger years when life was a bit more carefree… Farant made sure I forgot who all of you were even when I served you… What are the names of your siblings?' Akuji laughed quietly, albeit maniacally. "Father did always like his mind tricks. He used them to break mine..." Akuji fell silent and looked away, the demon laughing at his weakness, at his fear for his father. "Shae is my darling sister. Neither she nor Harries were exiled at all. Harries is given a rather free leash as he spreads his seeds and Farant comes and collects his pure blood offspring. They both are here, though Harries has been hiding his coward face after Farant apparently sent word through Shae that he was not providing nearly enough recruits for the army. When... When did you arrive here?"
