Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Gods may bleed among mortals...

Yes. This was the spot. The place where all would happen and we could watch the raging storm from very close, if not within it. The rain was coming from this direction earlier and I know how amazing it is to watch and feel the power of the thunder. Control it sometimes is tiresome as it is not meant for mortals. But it is my power and it is one I never dare to use against other mortals. Only to have some stress relief. It is great what you can do when you have such power.

Now I need to focus on the little girl after me. I remember there is a perfect place just here, close to one of the packs. Think it was Glorall. They would have to deal with how powerful I am and face the show of my power, they won’t know it is me and they wouldn’t believe even if they knew. At least they will see. It is what matters.

- Come! Be careful now, keep close to me.

I told Inanna, guiding her to the middle of a huge rock that extended above the river. It didn’t go too far to the middle of the river or anything, but it was the closest thing we could have for a front row seat. I walked on the flat rock and found the cave just down a path towards the edge. I climbed down and into the cave, careful and watching over the girl. Last thing I wanted was to have her fall in the river. Once she was safely next to me I found myself a place, close to the edge, allowing myself to lower and my front paws to dangle down the edge while I looked at the horizon. The first roaring of thunder already welcomed their god to his place and I couldn’t help, but smile. This was just perfect. The cave would keep us dry and allow for a perfect view.

-Here, sit next to me. Keep close. It will get cold, so the best is for us to be as close as we can.

I told the girl, watching he quickly approaching storms as the clouds approached, taking the light from the lands. They were already covering the entire sky where we were. Rain started to fall.

- It is going to start soon.

I told her…
