It is a fairly easy journey, the golden child hurrying along beside the older female, merely glad to be free of the clutches of the white one whom had so rudely attempted to abduct him from his own mission. He would get word back to his parents one way or another, assure them of his safety and yet for now destiny itself was calling. Eyes of emerald green rest briefly upon his companion. Young though he may be his mind is a curious thing, a wondrous thing and one so greatly advanced from what surely it should be at such an age, the child far more capable then most and it would seem he has found some small measure of fascination in his travelling companion- even despite her incorrect beliefs and impending early death (as prophesised by his own thoughts since clearly she does not understand the benefits of a home). If she was not dead in a year or so though, he would make some effort to see her perhaps and engage her in conversation, if only to prove she is wrong. They arrive soon enough, though his own paws ache from the journey and the trip he has already taken from Spirane, eyes rapidly searching the vast expanse of field ahead of him. It was…larger then he had expected, wider, stretching on and on, his tail waving lightly in anticipation of this.
Taika’s asks if he desires to call his family, words cut short as she wines a little and his features frown once more, gaze turning to follow her own across the field as he seats himself beside her with a look still curious upon his features, waiting for her attention to fall on him. What was she crying about? Was she afraid of the field? Maybe she was afraid Tobias would eat her, everyone else seemed to be afraid of that, although Galileo would never allow it to happen, of that Rhett is certain.
“Why are you sad?”
It is an innocent thing to say perhaps and yet what more could be expected from a child? Green eyes looking towards her now with evident curiosity, incapable of understanding whatever emotions it are that exist within her at the sight of the fields and a land she cannot explore. He shifts then, slightly, one paw reaching up to touch against her chest, a gesture unique to Rhett alone when he is given to desire attention.
“I am going to call my friend and then you are going to leave. I am not going home, Taika. I am going to live here now, so don’t try and stop me, but if you go to Spirane, let one of my parents know I’m alright. Do you want to know a secret?”
He grins then, a boyish, delightful grin that shows each little white puppy tooth, tail waving beneath him, almost as if this idea of leaving home seems to barely affect him at all, despite his evident youth, voice lowering now in the manner he is sure is accustomed for the sharing of secrets.
“I have a really big plan, Taika. Exponentially large. I’m going to start it today. So you should remember this day, I won’t forget it.”
He grins once more, moving to step away from her now, calling for his friend, for the strange one he had met before, the one who had called him Pretty Eyes and the one who would help him with this plan so big he seems to have.
