With those only a year older already so far ahead, Liah would kick her feet harder half way into her swimming distance. She didn't want to be that girl who couldn't do a darn thing. She knew she was sorely headed in that direction, but she wanted to change. The young she-wolf would still not be at all a good swimmer, but a natural nonetheless. The final push for energy as she panicked onto the shore had her overwhelmed, panting heavier than she ever had before and hind legs wobbling with both exhaustion and adrenaline. She shook off her coat now, giving herself a few seconds to breathe while listening to the boys.
"That was awesome!" she yipped with glee, proud of herself for attempting such a daring task. It was to her, at least, but she wouldn't understand that the boys likely don't understand her limited motivation. This was a huge step for her.
Clams were at a pile beside the shore, Liah having found only one on her own and scratching at it poorly. She gave up on it when she would discover it already dead and slightly ajar. She was sitting now, mouth finally closed and in her casual little smile. She liked today. Herschel had caught her attention from having been lost in thought to the other side of shore, a shy look about her when he approached. He had dropped some shining white orbs at her paws. They were astonishing, beautiful, and yet so tiny. Not nearly as tiny as sand, but not as large as most rocks either. Her green eyes were beaming with awe, looking up to the male's warming eyes as he spoke. She would gaze into those particular eyes, much like how she did to Constantine earlier. "Chel, they are beautiful. They're the most alluring things I've ever seen." she told him with such a soothing voice, not realizing how sweetly she might be smiling at him. It was one of those smiles you simply don't pick up on, one that is well deserved for both parties. She had to admit, he was really getting her attention. "I want to keep them. Do you want one?" Tail would curl about happily, tangerine-bordered eyes urging him to take one, but would not be bothered if he didn't.
