Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

ALiSTAIR
this is what salvation must be like after a while

Alistair was grateful for the silence. It was hard enough to manage a conversation when he was standing in front of another, and even harder still when he was padding alongside his companion. Solaris did not seem to care much about his defect, and for that he was relieved, his mentor seemed confident enough that he would be able to be a successful diplomat, deafness aside. It had worried him somewhat and it still did even now as they were walking. Would he be judged on behalf of his disability? He would try his hardest to make it unnoticeable, but the fact of the matter was that sometimes he could not understand words or speak them correctly. With each day he was getting better, but the intonation in his voice would always be missing.

The monochrome boy hesitated slightly at the border, but Solaris stepped over it with ease. Alistair trained his colorless eyes on Solaris to catch his words, 'We must wait always at the border of packs and call for those whom deal with diplomatic matters, but this is a special situation, different. Eden is my greatest of friends.'The boy nodded and followed his mentor over the border. "I understand." He said simply, he was a wolf of few words after all.

The sand felt interesting underneath his paws and he was excited to be within Glorall, experiencing the world as he so desperately wanted to do. Alistair observed the land as they walked, noting the seashore and the sand and even a flock of seagulls that flew in formation overhead. The scents marking the border grew thicker as they walked, and the boy knew this to be the scent of the Alpha himself, Eden. Soon enough his white eyes fell upon the unfamiliar form of Glorall's alpha, and he dipped his head respectfully, lowering himself slightly in submission, acknowledging that he was here to learn and observe. He was visiting a strange land, after all, and he offered the utmost respect to Eden and the home that he protected.

Alistair's eyes flicked towards Solaris just in time to catch his words, 'Eden, this is Alistair, my apprentice and one I hope to pass my rank to, one day.' He was surprised to know that Solaris considered him to have that much potential. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Eden." He said with a small wag of his tail, finding a seat besides Solaris, gaze flicking between them both to note who might speak.

He watched as Solaris proposed the alliance, and sat quietly, simply observing the manner of body language that both wolves possessed in these moments. Alistair was here to learn, after all- and although this was a conversation between two friends, he knew that it could provide him some insight into the correct way to act and to speak in a diplomatic situation. Unless he was called upon to speak he would sit quietly, gaze moving between both wolves.
